The special art program "New Vision - New Era" was organized to celebrate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party and commemorate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026).
The event is scheduled to take place at 8:10 PM on January 23, 2026, at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi , with approximately 30,000 attendees and will be broadcast live on VTV3 and other digital platforms.
The program also serves as an opportunity to affirm the outstanding achievements of the country after 40 years of reform (1986–2026), spreading the aspiration for a strong and prosperous Vietnam; thereby contributing to consolidating social consensus, strengthening national pride and the people's trust in the Party's reform policies.
Besides its profound socio- political significance, the event also honors the revolutionary, cultural, and heroic traditions of Hanoi; awakens pride and responsibility in building and protecting the capital – the heart of the nation; and contributes to nurturing the cultural values and image of elegant and civilized Hanoians, affirming the role and responsibility of the capital in the era of national progress.
The "New Vision - New Era" program is directed by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the Hanoi City Party Committee is in charge of its implementation, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other relevant agencies.

In keeping with the celebratory atmosphere of the Party Congress, the Vietnam National Traditional Theatre is also organizing a series of meaningful artistic activities. Specifically, on January 17th and 24th, the theatre will perform two traditional theatrical works: the cheo play "Bac Le Sacred Temple" and the cai luong play "The Night Sun of the Century" .
The traditional Vietnamese opera "Bac Le Sacred Temple" recreates the tenacious struggle of the people of Bac Son region in their journey to protect Bac Le Temple – a sacred place of worship for the Mother Goddess Thuong Ngan. In the context of their homeland being encroached upon, the people here remain steadfast in preserving their Mother Goddess worship, folk singing, and long-standing spiritual values, considering them the soul of their village and national culture.
The highlight of the work is the harmonious combination of traditional Cheo theater with Hat Van singing, contributing to the emotional depth and emphasizing the spiritual atmosphere of Bac Le Temple.
Meanwhile, the Cai Luong play "The Night Sun of the Century" explores historical themes, praising the achievements of Emperor Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, who transformed the Tay Son movement from a peasant uprising into a national liberation struggle, changing the historical destiny of the country.
The work not only recreates glorious victories but also portrays the ideological path and arduous choices of the national hero, through the multifaceted image of Quang Trung – Nguyen Hue, who is both majestic and outstanding, yet rich in everyday emotions.
The two plays, "Bac Le Sacred Temple" and "The Night Sun of the Century," will be performed at 8 PM on January 17th and 24th, respectively, at the Kim Ma Theater in Hanoi, contributing to bringing traditional theatrical arts closer to the public, especially the younger generation.
