| The Nui Coc Lake tourist area attracts a large number of visitors during the holiday season. |
During the recent April 30th and May 1st holidays, the Nui Coc Lake tourist area continued to attract a large number of tourists from both within and outside the province. According to statistics, over the four-day holiday, the area welcomed approximately 24,000 visitors, a 44% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue reached over 4 billion VND, a 30% increase compared to the same holiday period in 2025. The lively atmosphere at Nui Coc Lake stems from the diversification of experiential activities, combining entertainment, relaxation, and sightseeing.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Phuong, a tourist from Phu Luong commune, shared: "My family chose Nui Coc Lake because of its spacious area, beautiful scenery, and many activities suitable for both adults and children. This year's holiday was very lively, and the services were better than in previous years."
To cope with the surge in visitors, tourism businesses have proactively upgraded facilities, increased staffing, and implemented various promotional programs.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Phuong, Deputy General Director of the Trade Union Hotel and Tourism Joint Stock Company of Nui Coc Lake, said: "From the beginning of the year, we have developed a plan to prepare for the peak season, from upgrading accommodation facilities and entertainment areas to training personnel. During the recent holiday, the number of visitors increased significantly, which is a positive sign for this year's summer tourism season."
Not only large tourist areas, but many smaller destinations are also gradually proving their attractiveness. The Bap Non ECO eco-tourism site in Tan Cuong commune, although only recently developed, welcomed approximately 2,000 visitors during the holiday period. The occupancy rate for rooms and recreational and dining services remained high.
Mr. Do Van Thanh, manager of the Bap Non ECO eco-tourism site, said: "Nowadays, tourists are very interested in experiences close to nature, relaxation, and enjoying local cuisine. We focus on agricultural experience products, green spaces, and friendly services to retain tourists."

The emergence of ecotourism destinations and agricultural experiences has contributed to enriching the province's tourism product ecosystem, meeting the diverse needs of tourists. Alongside product development, state management of tourism has also been emphasized.
The Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued numerous directives to tourism businesses to ensure safety, improve service quality, publicly display prices, and refrain from increasing prices during peak seasons.
Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam, Head of the Tourism Management Department (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism), said: "We require tourism establishments to strictly adhere to price listing regulations, ensure environmental hygiene, security and safety, and improve service quality. The goal is to build an image of a friendly, safe, and professional destination. In addition, many cultural, sports, and commercial activities organized simultaneously, such as exhibitions, art programs, fairs, and sports competitions, have created a vibrant atmosphere, contributing to extending the length of stay and increasing spending by tourists."
With its positive growth momentum, Thai Nguyen's tourism industry continues to expect the 2026 summer tourism season to achieve many promising results.
