During the summer days of July, the atmosphere at many village and commune cultural houses in Hung Yen province becomes vibrant with summer activities for children and youth. Many diverse entertainment and skill training programs are organized, attracting a large number of students to participate.

At the Cultural House of Thi Tu village (Khoai Chau commune), every evening, more than 30 children enthusiastically participate in activities such as folk dancing, modern dancing, group games... under the guidance of the leaders. Vu Thi Anh Tuyet, an 8th grade student at Phung Hung Secondary School, shared: "Each activity has new content, both fun and useful."
Mr. Bui Quang Hao, Secretary of the Youth Union of Thi Tu village, said: “In addition to recreational activities, we integrate content to propagate the Law on Children, life skills such as preventing sexual abuse, escape skills, basic first aid, safe swimming skills, etc. to help children gain more practical knowledge in life.”
Not only in Khoai Chau, many communes and wards in the province are also maintaining regular summer activities. In Dien Ha commune, 36 villages organize summer activities for children. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, this is an opportunity for children to practice skills, have healthy fun and learn more about their hometown traditions.

According to Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union, right from the beginning of summer, all levels of the Youth Union, Association, and Young Pioneers in the province have implemented summer activities under the motto "Safe - Useful - Joyful - Practical". In addition to cultural activities, sports, and folk games,education on life skills, self-defense skills, and social skills is also emphasized.

Participating in summer activities not only helps children have a fun and exciting summer vacation but also brings many positive values to their comprehensive development.
First of all, through physical activities and sports competitions, children can improve their health, increase their endurance and flexibility. At the same time, the collective environment helps children learn discipline, coordination and sharing with friends. Activities such as telling stories about Uncle Ho, learning about local historical and cultural relics, etc. are also opportunities for children to cultivate their love for their homeland, gain a deeper understanding of national traditions, thereby forming their personality and sense of responsibility to the community.
