The Tien Son Ha Linh sticky rice product of Luu Suong Trading Company Limited (Ha Trung) was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a typical product of the province in 2022. Taking advantage of this, the company has invested in production, improved product quality and developed many high-quality rice varieties for production to serve market demand. Mr. Nguyen Huu Long, Deputy Director of Luu Suong Trading Company Limited, affirmed that being certified as a typical product has helped the enterprise enhance its reputation with consumers. From there, it creates more motivation for enterprises to invest in innovation, improve technology, improve design, packaging and register intellectual property of products to enhance competitiveness and expand the consumer market. To diversify products, the company is continuing to research and develop other products related to rice products, such as ST24, ST25, Seng Cu rice... At the same time, it is cooperating with people inside and outside the province to develop raw material areas with an area of over 700 hectares of commercial rice. Currently, the company is focusing on developing 2 typical rice varieties of Ha Trung district that have achieved provincial-level OCOP products: Tien Son areca nut sticky rice, Ha Linh commune and Gia Mieu golden flower sticky rice for the king, Ha Long commune.
In 2022, the Provincial People's Committee recognized 10 typical products and goods at the provincial level. In the province, there are not many agricultural product brands known to consumers nationwide like some provinces in the North and Central regions.
In order to diversify typical agricultural products, the agricultural sector is actively coordinating with localities to implement mechanisms and policies to develop key product groups. Along with that, localities in the province are also strongly applying scientific and technological advances in agricultural production to bring high economic value and adapt to climate change.
