The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City said that according to the warning information of the Hydrometeorological Station, the tropical depression in the East Sea could strengthen into a storm, causing heavy rain, affecting Da Nang City. The Department of Education and Training requested heads of units and schools to notify preschool children, students, and trainees across the city to stay home from school on the afternoon of September 18 and all day of September 19. Private universities will proactively decide on students' attendance based on the actual situation.

Boarding schools must contact parents of preschool children and students about pick-up times; ensure that preschool children and students are well managed and cared for at school when parents are unable to pick them up.

The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City requires units and schools to seriously implement the work of strengthening natural disaster prevention and control in 2024 of the Department of Education and Training and the direction of local leaders on natural disaster prevention and control, storms and floods.

On the same day, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches announced the temporary suspension of tours to Son Tra Peninsula from 9:00 a.m. on September 18 until further notice.
