Da Nang announces 2026 New Year Festival with a series of exciting activities

(NLDO) - The New Year Festival will take place for 5 days, from December 30, 2025 to January 3, 2026 at many locations in Da Nang City.

On December 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang held a press conference to announce the 2026 New Year Festival.

This event takes place for 5 days, from December 30, 2025 to January 3, 2026 at many locations in Da Nang City, aiming to diversify tourism products, increase experiences for visitors and create a new year atmosphere.

This year, the festival introduces a series of check-in spaces with Christmas themes, music , Hoi An colors and Da Nang yellow colors; at the same time, promoting sea tourism through a check-in model system that lasts throughout the peak season of 2026.

The highlight is the "Da Nang - Welcome New Year 2026" Avenue on Bach Dang walking street for three nights: December 30, December 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026 with interactive art spaces, street performances and connecting music. For the first time, Da Nang organizes the night race "Light up the Han River - Run to the future" on the night of December 31, 2025.

Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, informed about the activities to welcome the new year 2026.

The festival also has an opening ceremony on the East bank of Dragon Bridge, Cheer Fest culinary space, countdown art nights at Tam Thanh, Hoi An, and Da Nang Concert 2026 at Da Nang Museum.

A series of art programs, street events and activities to welcome the first flight and train were also held simultaneously.

In addition, Da Nang City has implemented many year-end shopping stimulus programs such as Mega Sale, branded goods festival and "Trust in Vietnamese goods" exhibition.

The festival is expected to create a vibrant atmosphere, spread creativity and continue to show that Da Nang is the leading festival destination in the region.
