According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, in the first 11 months of 2025 (as of November 20), the city has newly granted registration certificates to 5,331 enterprises and 542 branches and representative offices (DN) with a total registered charter capital of nearly 35,000 billion VND, an increase of more than 25% in the number of enterprises and an increase of nearly 90% in capital compared to the same period in 2024.

The wholesale and retail industry in Da Nang attracts many new businesses but also has a high number of dissolutions and suspensions.
Some other industries also have significant total registered capital, such as accommodation and catering services with more than VND 2,700 billion; professional, scientific and technological activities with more than VND 2,100 billion. The processing and manufacturing industry attracted nearly 7,300 registered workers, accounting for more than 25%, showing that the demand for labor in the industry remains high and contributes positively to the shift in labor structure towards industrialization.
Notably, according to the Da Nang Statistics Office, although the number of newly established enterprises in the area has increased sharply, the recovery process of old enterprises is still slow, reflecting the difficulties in stabilizing production and business.
In the past 11 months, Da Nang has had more than 1,800 enterprises returning to operation (wholesale, retail, auto, motorcycle, motorbike repair... more than 500 enterprises, construction 375 enterprises...), down 6.2% compared to the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, the number of enterprises temporarily suspending business increased by 15.2% compared to the same period in 2024, with nearly 6,000 enterprises. At the same time, the whole city has nearly 1,500 enterprises completing dissolution procedures, a sharp increase of 62% over the same period. That shows that the pressure to maintain operations remains high, especially for small and medium enterprises.
The industries that were heavily affected included wholesale and retail, auto repair, motorbikes, and other motor vehicles with 293 dissolved enterprises; construction with 130 enterprises; and accommodation and food service with 119 enterprises. These figures reflect a clear trend of differentiation; the trade, construction, and service industries, which attract many new enterprises, are also under high pressure to dissolve and suspend operations.
According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, the wave of new business establishment has increased sharply in the past 11 months, reflecting the attractiveness of the business environment and the open market potential. However, the slow recovery speed of old businesses and the high rate of suspension and dissolution reveal the reality that many units are struggling to find ways to stabilize production and maintain operations.
“This reality shows that the group of businesses vulnerable to market fluctuations still accounts for a large proportion, requiring timely support policies to maintain stable operations,” said the Da Nang Statistical Office.
