
Da Nang city welcomed over 1,000 cruise ship tourists on the morning of the third day of Tet (Lunar New Year ).
Accordingly, the Seabourn Encore cruise ship, operated by Tan Hong Tourism Company, brought over 1,000 people, including 580 tourists from the UK, France, and the US, and 500 crew members, to Tien Sa Port on the morning of February 19th.
Welcoming international cruise ship passengers, Da Nang not only offers a vibrant festive atmosphere with lion dances and gifts, but also showcases traditional Tet culture through conical hats and gift boxes of banh chung and banh tet (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes).

Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, General Director of Furama Resort and Chairman of the Da Nang Hotel Association, presented commemorative gifts to cruise ship tourists who were the first visitors to the city on the morning of the 3rd day of Tet (Lunar New Year).
Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city, said: The Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse 2026 recorded positive results in the number of cruise ship tourists visiting Da Nang, showing that this segment is recovering and growing well.
In the coming period, the city will continue to promote the market, improve the quality of products and services, and strengthen links with shipping companies, seaports, and international travel businesses to attract more cruise ships and tourists to Da Nang.

During the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026, Da Nang is expected to welcome nearly 4,200 tourists.
In 2026, the number of cruise ship visitors to the city is expected to continue its positive growth trend. Da Nang is projected to welcome 59 cruise ships with over 64,000 passengers, an increase of approximately 11% compared to 2025.
During the peak of the Lunar New Year holiday in 2026 (February 16-22), in addition to the Seabourn Encore cruise ship docking on the third day of Tet, Da Nang also continuously welcomed other international cruise ships, significantly contributing to the increase in the number of cruise ship passengers visiting the city during the Tet holiday.

Accordingly, Da Nang city welcomed nearly 4,200 tourists during this period, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere for tourism activities right from the beginning of the year.
Specifically, on February 20th (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), the city welcomed approximately 2,800 tourists from key European markets such as Italy, France, the UK, and Spain; and on February 22nd (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), it continued to welcome another 650 European tourists to visit and experience the unique tourism products of the locality.
