Attending the meeting were Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee - Nguyen Dinh Vinh; on the Quang Nam side, there was Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Le Tri Thanh.
The meeting was an opportunity for the veteran liaison committee of the twinned localities to reunite and recall the heroic memories of the fierce and heroic fighting years on the Quang Da front.
Speaking at the meeting, the leaders of the People's Committee of Da Nang City expressed their gratitude to generations of veterans who fought and sacrificed on the battlefield of Quang Nam - Da Nang; including thousands of cadres and soldiers from Hai Phong City, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, and Da Nang to contribute to the cause of regaining independence and freedom for their homeland.
The leaders attending the meeting also said that in the coming time, the Party Committee, Government and People of the localities of Hai Phong , Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam and Da Nang will continue the glorious past, promote cooperation and help each other to develop together.
At the same time, continue to do a good job of repaying gratitude; improve the effectiveness of all aspects of Party building and clean and strong government; maximize the potential and advantages of localities to build and develop an increasingly prosperous homeland.
On this occasion, Da Nang City leaders presented gifts to 90 delegates of the liaison committee and veterans. Da Nang City also supported Hai Phong City and Thanh Hoa Province with 1 billion VND each for gratitude and social security work.
