This shows that from Hollywood's The Creator , Netflix's A Tourist's Guide to Love , Korea's Taxi Driver 2 to As You Stood By , Vietnam is increasingly becoming a familiar destination for international film crews.
"The two locations chosen by the Korean film crew this time are Da Nang and Hoi An," Noan Do, founder of Studio Noah - the main company providing production services for Korean film crews in Vietnam - told Tri Thuc - Znews.
4 "spectacular" appearances
According to Noan, Da Nang was chosen because it fully met the Korean delegation's requirements for setting, landscape and logistics services.

The city has many direct flights from Seoul, Busan, Daegu, taking only about 4-5 hours to travel. This place has beautiful beaches, diverse landscapes and a resort system that meets the needs of both actors and backstage crew.
This place is also considered a clean, safe destination, with friendly people, with many services for Korean tourists such as Korean menus or staff who can communicate at a basic level.
Specific locations featured in the film include:
Con Market - the place chosen by the Korean film crew because it has the atmosphere of a traditional Vietnamese market. They wanted to find a traditional market scene that is vibrant, close to daily life, completely different from modern shopping centers. The purpose is to let the main character immerse himself in the local life and help the audience clearly feel the Vietnamese market culture.
My Khe Beach : With a fine white sandbank stretching over 30 km, the beach was chosen as the setting for the surfing and beach walking scenes, symbolizing peace and a new beginning in the lives of the two main characters at the end.
During the production process, the crew also prepared a backup plan. If the waves at My Khe were not high enough, the crew would move to Cua Dai Beach (Hoi An) and use a flycam to film the whole scene, depending on the weather conditions to optimize filming time and capture the most beautiful frames.

Hoi An ancient town was chosen as the setting for the boating scene, one of the most iconic scenes of the film's ending.
According to the request of the Korean director and crew, the setting needs to show the unique cultural and spiritual features of Vietnam while still ensuring aesthetic elements on screen, so that the characters can send good prayers for themselves.
The Vietnamese team proposed filming the traditional activity of rowing boats to release floating lanterns on the Hoai River, a long-standing tradition. Each lantern symbolizes the light of hope, dispelling bad luck and praying for peace and luck.
Studio Noah representative shared that the film crew was especially impressed with the shimmering scene of hundreds of lanterns floating on the water.
"We are proud to be able to introduce a part of Vietnamese spiritual culture and folk art to international friends. This activity not only has tourism value but also is a moment of contemplation, connecting people with nature and national culture," said Noan Do.
Hotel in Hoi An : The scene where the female lead starts her new life in Vietnam was filmed at a hotel on Nguyen Phan Vinh Street, Hoi An. The director wanted to find a space that had both aesthetic depth and expressed the spirit of peaceful living, and the hotel fully met that.
This property features a handcrafted design, inspired by the philosophy of slow living and appreciating what is most natural.
Each lime wall, wooden panel, bamboo stick, old brick or recycled furniture is carefully handcrafted, carrying its own story about time and people.

"Allergic" to coriander
Production on As You Stood By took place over the first two months of 2025, with pre-production in January and filming in February.
Because they only filmed a few final scenes, the Korean crew stayed in Vietnam for only a week, but all the previous preparations were done remotely between the two crews.
The Korean side assigned the Vietnamese partner to be in charge of all logistics, from surveying the scene, applying for filming permits from central and local authorities, preparing equipment and personnel, to finding accommodation and transportation.
"Many members shared at the farewell party that after returning home, they plan to return to Vietnam with family, friends or lovers to travel, especially to Da Nang and Hoi An," said a studio representative.
Not stopping there, the film's screenwriting team also revealed their intention to write new scripts set in Vietnam.

During filming, the Vietnamese crew introduced local specialties to the Korean crew every day.
"Koreans naturally like strong and slightly spicy flavors, so most Vietnamese dishes suit their taste," the studio representative shared.
Among them, Quang noodles, pancakes, grilled pork vermicelli, fresh seafood and coastal coffee are the dishes that the Korean group loves the most. An interesting detail is that most of the group members are "allergic" to coriander, just seeing it makes them refuse the food immediately.

The biggest challenge during filming came from the weather, when many days of heavy rain forced the crew to flexibly change plans, taking advantage of every sunny moment to film.
"But if the audience watches the film, they will feel all that effort and Vietnam is truly a peaceful destination, a place where all kinds of landscapes converge from sea to mountains, from bustling cities to rustic villages.
Rich cuisine, friendly people, quality service and reasonable costs. All of these create Vietnam's unique appeal," said Noan Do.
