Da Nang: More than 43 billion VND to carry out youth projects

On December 6, the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Da Nang city, term 2025-2030, held a solemn session. Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet attended.

Leaders of Da Nang City and Central Youth Union presented flowers to congratulate the new Executive Committee.

During the past term, the youth of Quang Nam - Da Nang have promoted their pioneering, creative role in revolutionary action movements, volunteering for the community, participating in building and defending the Fatherland.

The whole city organized 10,056 volunteer activities with over 2 million union members and youths participating; built 24 city-level youth projects, 9,489 grassroots youth projects. The total value of the projects was over 43 billion VND.

The work of mobilizing and leveraging social resources has been focused on with many projects and playgrounds being implemented, especially in remote areas; more than 772,346 children in difficult circumstances, remote areas, ethnic minorities, and border areas have been helped with an amount of nearly 25 billion VND.

Many emulation movements were launched from practice in accordance with the legitimate needs and aspirations of union members and youth, expressing the unique colors of the city's youth such as the models "We are always with Mother", "Companion", "Each month a loving address"...

The congress awarded 10 reading and team activity spaces for children.

During the rains, storms and floods, thousands of union members and youths were promptly present at key locations, working with local authorities and functional forces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, promptly rescue people, support and care for their lives, and help people overcome difficulties.

The Congress also announced the decisions to appoint the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Da Nang City for the first term, 2025-2030, with 41 comrades; Mr. Le Cong Hung holds the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union, 2 Deputy Secretaries of the Da Nang City Youth Union include: Nguyen Ba Duan, Le Kim Thuong.

In the coming term, Da Nang Youth Union has also set specific targets such as: 3 million youth union members participating in volunteer activities organized by the Union and Association; 2,000 youth projects and tasks; planting at least 1 million trees each year; supporting 1 million disadvantaged children...
