Da Nang is sparking a wave of experiential tourism with the message "Return to the Original."

On the evening of February 7, 2026, amidst the cultural atmosphere of the "Happy Tet" program in Hanoi, Da Nang's tourism industry officially announced a large-scale stimulus campaign themed "Return to Origin." This is a development strategy focused on in-depth tourism, using people, culture, and nature as core values ​​to create sustainable appeal.

The program was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai – Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration; Mr. Vu The Binh – President of the Vietnam Tourism Association; Mr. Nguyen Tran Quang – Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism; Mr. Tao Viet Hai – Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism... along with numerous representatives from travel agencies and a large number of tourists.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tao Viet Hai – Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – affirmed: "Entering 2026, with the goal of welcoming 19.1 million visitors (including 8.7 million international visitors and 10.4 million domestic visitors), Da Nang city clearly defines its direction for in-depth tourism development, taking people, culture, and nature as central values. This will create a sustainable and unique attraction for the destination."

Within the framework of the Happy Tet Festival 2026, today's program introducing Da Nang tourism in Hanoi is the opening activity for a series of tourism promotion activities in the northern domestic markets, especially Hanoi - one of Da Nang's key tourism markets for many years.

Mr. Tao Viet Hai, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, delivered a speech at the event.

Sharing specific solutions to attract tourists, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham – Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center said: "With today's fast-paced life, Da Nang wishes to bring all delegates a new feeling when we return to Da Nang city, a place where nature, people, and culture harmonize. There, the pace of life will slow down a little, but it will also become more tranquil, allowing us to better understand and appreciate life."

And in this program to attract visitors to Da Nang today, Da Nang has chosen a completely new theme, different from the trend of world tourism. As people increasingly personalize their emotions, Da Nang hopes that all visitors from Hanoi will come to Da Nang with genuine and heartfelt experiences through all five senses and five points of touch.

First is Touch on Heritage, where visitors experience traditional craft villages through a "living" heritage map system and listen to stories of their craft from the artisans themselves. Next, Touch on Serenity opens up the space of Wellness tourism, focusing on health care through meditation, tea ceremonies, and herbal therapies at high-end resorts.

The pure connection with nature is conveyed in the "Touching the Pristine" journey through activities such as trekking in Son Tra forest or community-based ecotourism. For those who love excitement, "Touching the Moment" will be the highlight with a series of international-scale festivals such as the International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2026). Finally, "Touching the Taste" completes the journey by exploring Quang Nam cuisine, where visitors can directly interact with and learn culinary secrets from local artisans.

The 2026 campaign is concretized through 5 unique "touchpoints," guiding tourists back to their most authentic emotions through a diverse range of products.

To achieve its goal of stimulating demand, Da Nang is offering over 25,000 gifts including resort vouchers, airline tickets, and premium service packages, with the grand prize worth 25 million VND. Specifically for international visitors, the "I Love Da Nang" campaign offers special gift privileges and lucky draws right at the airport for those returning to the city.

Notably, in 2026, Da Nang will for the first time implement a mechanism to encourage tourism content creators. With the "Discovered by You" badge and cash prizes of up to $1,000, the city hopes that the creative community will be the ones to strongly inspire a destination that is: "Not just to visit - but to live, experience, and return to."
