Da Nang: Establishing a command post to handle landslides in Hung Son commune

On the afternoon of November 14, information from Military Region 5 said that armed forces and local authorities had evacuated people and set up a command post to handle the landslide of millions of cubic meters of rock and soil on the hillside in Hung Son commune.

Immediately after the landslide in Phuc village, Hung Son commune, Da Nang city occurred on the morning of November 14, burying a number of houses and making 3 people missing, including 1 police officer of Phuc village, Military Region 5 directed the Da Nang City Military Command and the Thanh My Zone 2 Defense Command to urgently deploy response and search and rescue work.

The Da Nang City Military Command established a field command post to coordinate with local forces to quickly evacuate 98 households/358 people in Phuc village and Giao village (Hung Son commune) to a safe place.

Rescue work is still facing many difficulties because the hill continues to collapse.
