Danang night sky is bright

Da Nang City is entering the summer - the season of festivals, including the 2025 International Fireworks Festival with top-notch performances. Along with many accompanying activities, this is an opportunity for Da Nang to affirm its position as "Asia's leading event and festival city", continuing to attract international friends.

Longest fireworks festival

This year, the scale of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 is the largest ever, with 10 competing teams from: Vietnam, Finland, United Kingdom, Portugal, Poland, Korea, Italy, Canada, China. Each team brings its own color, combining fireworks performance art, music and cultural stories typical of their country.

The sky of Da Nang these nights is bright with many types of fireworks, colorful, diverse and emotional. Besides old friends, DIFF also welcomes new teams, such as Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam 2), Canada, Korea, Portugal. Although they are "newbies", the teams have had attractive and unique performances. The multi-colored fireworks draw a brilliant, modern picture of a youthful Da Nang, constantly growing from Vietnam 2. The constellations of shooting stars from the fireworks represent the wish that everyone's dreams will come true.

China still maintains its form when bringing the performance of “Journey to the West” to the Han River this time and the accompanying music is truly captivating. It seems that every sound when it rings out is punctuated with each round of fireworks, blending together. The audience then experiences all the emotions as if following in the footsteps of Tang Monk and his disciples in the past. It is fun, humorous, at times solemn, at times quiet, worried and then bursting, the fireworks triumphantly like fairies descending to earth, both virtual and real.

There is also the story of the “dragon dance” from Korea, the light concert from Italy, the message of sustainable nature from Portugal and the UK. Every night is a feast of light for the eyes of the audience.

People can admire the fireworks from many locations such as the stage stands, the main roads on both sides of the Han River or neighboring roads, on bridges, Nguyen Tat Thanh beach... Many people also choose to enjoy from Son Tra mountain to feel the brilliance of the fireworks when looking from the whole city. No matter where, the atmosphere is equally bustling. Mr. Ozan Kuday (Turkish tourist) shared: "I like the fireworks display of the teams, combining music and colors that make us excited. Tonight will be a great memory for us".

DIFF spans two summer months from May 31 to July 12, taking place every Saturday, making it the longest Fireworks Festival in history. With the theme “Da Nang – New Era”, it is not only symbolic but also reflects the spirit of innovation and strong development of Da Nang in the current period.

Promote economic development

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, assessed that not only acting as a "magnet" attracting domestic and international visitors to Da Nang every summer, from 2008 to now, through 12 times of organization, DIFF has affirmed its position as an international-class festival. "Up to now, DIFF has not only become a prestigious and prestigious playground that any international fireworks team wants to conquer, but also become a "must-visit festival" every summer for friends from all over the world. The strong ripple effect of DIFF has become an important driving force to promote the city's economic development and increasingly raise the position of Da Nang in recent times", Ms. Thi emphasized.

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, during DIFF 2025, the average room occupancy rate at hotels in the city reached about 80%, welcoming about 70,000 guests using accommodation services each night. Some high-end hotels with convenient locations or located near the festival area recorded an occupancy rate of 85-95%.

Along with DIFF, a series of accompanying events such as the Enjoy Da Nang festival, art kite flying, day and night shows and a series of exciting activities at tourist areas... are contributing to creating a youthful, vibrant and experience-rich Da Nang.

This year, together with the city, the companionship of units and businesses also contributed to creating attractive tourism products; at the same time affirming the brand of Da Nang as the leading festival and event destination in Asia on the world tourism map.
