Da Nang approves nearly VND9,000 billion to clear land for high-speed railway

Da Nang City has just approved a large-scale compensation, support and resettlement project to serve the North-South high-speed railway passing through the area with a total investment of nearly 9,000 billion VND. This is an important step to ensure a clean site, meeting the construction progress of the national strategic infrastructure route.

On December 9, the Office of the People's Committee of Da Nang City informed that the city issued Decision No. 2868/QD-UBND approving Component Project 1 on compensation, support and resettlement for the high-speed railway from Thu Bon River to the northern boundary of the city.

The project has a total investment of nearly 9,000 billion VND, from the central budget, the city budget and other legal capital sources, with the Da Nang Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor. Implementation period is from 2025 to 2028.

The scope of implementation is spread across the communes and wards of Hai Van, Lien Chieu, Hoa Khanh, Ba Na, Cam Le, Hoa Vang, Hoa Tien, Dien Ban Bac and Dien Ban Tay. The project focuses on compensation and support for affected households and organizations and the construction of resettlement areas and cemeteries, aiming to ensure the legitimate rights of people whose land is recovered, creating conditions for stabilizing their lives and livelihoods.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City requests the investor to fully implement the approved documents and procedures according to regulations; organize and manage the project to ensure quality and progress. The Departments of Finance, Construction, Agriculture and Environment and related units are assigned to coordinate, guide and supervise throughout the implementation process, contributing to meeting the progress of site preparation for the high-speed railway line passing through Da Nang.
