Da Nang issues regulations to tighten adventure tourism

In the face of many recent accidents related to adventure tourism, Da Nang city has requested agencies to strengthen inspection and supervision of adventure tourism activities.

On September 13, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city said that Vice Chairwoman of the city People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi had just assigned this unit to coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect adventure tourism service businesses.

State management agencies require service providers and supervisory agencies to regularly inspect the conditions for organizing entertainment activities to ensure the safety of tourists.

Da Nang City has assigned the Inspectorate to closely monitor adventure tourism activities and strictly handle unsafe acts. If necessary, it will request the suspension or cessation of activities.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City also assigned localities to regularly update information on adventure tourism products in the area. Strengthen communication to raise awareness of law compliance of adventure tourism service providers.

Recently in Da Nang and some coastal tourist centers, there have been accidents while picking up and dropping off guests playing paragliding, jet skiing...

On the afternoon of July 8, Mr. HQT (36 years old, residing in Tan Phu, Ho Chi Minh City) participated in a paragliding experience organized by Tropical Forest Company at Son Tra Peninsula (Da Nang).

While the parachute was on its way from the mountain to the landing site, an accident suddenly occurred, causing Mr. T. to fall into a dense forest area.

The parachute operator, Mr. LMP (41 years old, from Tropical Forest Company) - who directly led Mr. T. on the flight - also had an accident, fell onto a nearby sandbank and was taken to the emergency room in critical condition. By the evening of the same day, Mr. T.'s body was discovered near the Bien Dong resort area, on the Son Tra peninsula.

Previously, accidents involving paragliding and parasailing also occurred at Hoi An beach.
