Da Nang implements the Project "Elderly people participate in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, entrepreneurship and job creation"

DNO - The City People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement the Project "Elderly people participating in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, entrepreneurship and job creation" in the city for the period 2025 - 2030 and until 2035, according to Decision 379/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

The plan aims to raise awareness of the community and political system about the role of the elderly in socio-economic development; create conditions for the elderly to participate in start-up activities, digital transformation, and green transformation in accordance with their needs, health and experience.

The City People's Committee requires that the project implementation must be associated with the local digital transformation and green transformation process, ensuring feasibility, inheriting and promoting the achieved results.

The city aims to have 90% of the elderly educated about digital transformation by 2030; 50% of the elderly proficient in basic digital skills; build at least 5 models for the elderly to collect and classify waste and 3 models for organic agricultural production and circular economy ; support at least 40 elderly people to start businesses... The targets will continue to be raised until 2035.

The City People's Committee requests relevant departments, branches, localities and organizations to strengthen coordination and mobilize social resources; report annually to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the plan as a basis for proposals for the next phase.
