Da Nang promotes cooperation with Google for Education on education

DNO - On the morning of December 9, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan received Mr. Victor Lam, Asia Pacific Director of key projects of Google for Education and his colleagues who visited and worked in Da Nang city.

At the reception, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan introduced an overview of Da Nang city after the administrative unit merger, expanding development space, large population size with many potentials and competitive advantages.

The city has received attention from the Central Government for piloting a number of special mechanisms and policies, building and developing an international financial center and free trade zone.

The city focuses on developing synchronous infrastructure, high-quality human resources, transparent and stable investment environment. In addition, Da Nang is a safe destination, friendly to nature and has many world cultural heritages.

Da Nang wishes to cooperate with Google for Education in training human resources for digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI), consulting and supporting the implementation of Workspace for Education, training IT administrators; building and implementing a training plan for "Digital Skills Pioneer Teachers" to achieve "Google Educator" certificates and be a part of "Google Digital School"...

City leaders appreciate Google for Education as a comprehensive service from Google, providing schools and universities with a suite of tools designed to enhance teaching, learning and collaboration.

At the meeting, a representative of Google for Education said that Google for Education and AI Education are exploring cooperation opportunities with Da Nang city in research activities and application of Google AI Gemini technology so that the city can become a model in applying AI technology globally, gradually approaching the world's advanced education and developing a smart education model associated with comprehensive digital transformation.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan said that there will soon be an overview plan on the cooperation between Da Nang City and Google for Education; at the same time, he assigned relevant departments to proactively work with Google for Education to have a specific implementation plan in the coming time.
