The best strikers in the U.23 age group
Bui Vi Hao has been injured for the past time. He was absent from the 2025 Southeast Asian U.23 tournament in July and the 2026 Asian U.23 qualifiers in early September. These are also tournaments where the U.23 Vietnam attack had problems scoring goals. With the return of Bui Vi Hao, the problem of the lack of strikers for U.23 Vietnam is expected to be solved.

Currently, the forward line of the team under coach Kim Sang-sik has gathered almost all the best forwards in the age group of 23, including Bui Vi Hao, Nguyen Dinh Bac, Nguyen Quoc Viet, Nguyen Ngoc My and Nguyen Thanh Nhan. If we count the attacking midfielders who can play in the forward position when needed, Nguyen Xuan Bac and Nguyen Van Truong, the front line of U.23 Vietnam has quite a lot of good personnel.
The strengths of the players playing in the forward line of U.23 Vietnam are high speed and skillful ball handling techniques. In particular, the two strikers Bui Vi Hao and Nguyen Dinh Bac were highly appreciated by former VFF Vice President Duong Vu Lam: "Vi Hao is a promising striker. He is fast, skillful, strong, and has a good stature (1.81 m). I also highly appreciate Bui Vi Hao's finishing ability. Meanwhile, Dinh Bac is a striker with a strange quality, capable of creating breakthroughs".
Another factor that makes the U.23 Vietnam forwards formidable is the strikers' ability to play high balls. With strikers with good physiques like Vi Hao and Dinh Bac (1.80 m), coach Kim Sang-sik's team can still launch high ball attacks when needed.
In the match against U.23 China on November 12, Bui Vi Hao came on as a substitute but still played quite impressively, creating many sharp scoring situations.
Competition increases, U.23 Vietnam will have the strongest personnel
More importantly, with the return of Bui Vi Hao, U.23 Vietnam does not have to worry about lacking players in the center forward position. Dinh Bac had tried this position at the U.23 Southeast Asia tournament and the U.23 Asia qualifiers, but was not successful, because Dinh Bac still had the habit of moving to the two wings. This habit was formed by Dinh Bac when playing for the Hanoi Police Club, so it is very difficult for him to give up.

The U.23 Vietnam forward line is currently quite diverse in terms of personnel.

Meanwhile, the other striker of U.23 Vietnam, Nguyen Quoc Viet (1.73 m), is at a disadvantage in terms of physique. He lacks situations where he can press down on the opposing defenders and then shoot or pass the ball to his teammates, and is also not good at aerial combat.
With the appearance of Bui Vi Hao, coach Kim Sang-sik will have the solution to all those problems. Moreover, the return of the striker currently playing for Binh Duong will help increase the competitiveness in the forward line of U.23 Vietnam. This will stimulate all strikers on the team to try their best. Each person must perform well in the coming days, if they do not want to lose their place in the 33rd SEA Games taking place in December this year and the U.23 Asian finals early next year.
