The event, which is also associated with the 2nd Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival, promises to bring a series of large-scale cultural and tourism activities, rich in identity and bearing the mark of the community of 54 ethnic groups.
The week is an occasion to affirm the spirit of national solidarity - a priceless cultural heritage forged over thousands of years of history. The series of events aims to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese ethnic community, while contributing to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.
Through experiential activities, cultural exchanges, handicraft demonstrations, cuisine and festivals, the event helps domestic and international visitors gain a deeper understanding of the richness and diversity of Vietnamese culture in the context of integration. This is also an opportunity to promote cultural and tourism cooperation between localities and expand international connections.
This year's event is expected to be attended by leaders of the Party and State; representatives of ministries, departments and branches; representatives of international organizations, diplomatic agencies, embassies and more than 200 international delegates. In particular, more than 200 compatriots of 18 ethnic groups from 12 provinces and cities will directly participate in performing, exchanging and practicing traditional culture. This is the core force that vividly recreates the cultural life, arts, customs and practices at the "Common House".
The highlight of the program is the Opening Ceremony of the Week of “Great Unity of Ethnic Groups – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage” and the 2nd Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival, taking place at 8:00 p.m. on November 21. The program is organized on a large scale, expected to attract more than 1,000 participants.

On the same day, a program to promote Vietnamese culture to international friends will also take place with special content: a slideshow introducing an overview of the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism; experiencing folk culture; enjoying traditional cuisine; and exchanging with ethnic artisans.
