Having been informed about the change in fuel type beforehand, many consumers were not too surprised by the transition.
When asked about switching to the new fuel type, Mr. Nguyen Hoa (residing in Ngai Giao commune, Ho Chi Minh City) expressed complete confidence in the government's policies. He shared that he feels very secure and has no worries whatsoever when using the product recommended by society and relevant authorities.
Sharing the same view, Mr. Pham Ngoc Anh (also residing in Ngai Giao commune, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the recommendations from the government always aim to better protect the environment. Based on his practical experience, he assessed that the vehicle operates at a stable and normal speed, with no difference compared to the previous RON 95 gasoline.
Alongside many supportive opinions, a large number of consumers have also expressed concerns about using this type of gasoline for the first time.
In response to consumer concerns about the impact on engine performance and operation when using E10 bioethanol fuel, experts say: Most car models manufactured from 2011 onwards and newer motorcycle models are designed to be fully compatible with E10 fuel. For older vehicles: Because the blending ratio is only 10% ethanol, the corrosive effect is not too significant if the vehicle is used regularly and maintained periodically.
According to regulations, starting June 1st, the entire country will be using E10 bioethanol fuel.
