On the afternoon of November 1, Hai Phong Trade Union faced off against Vietnam Bank Trade Union in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Tournament. The two teams gave the audience a match of the highest professional quality since the beginning of the tournament.

The team from the Red Flamboyant City unexpectedly took the lead in the first minutes. Hai Phong players had some nice combinations before Nguyen Van Hung (number 11) unleashed a powerful shot to open the score.

After taking a 1-0 lead, Hai Phong Trade Union showed that they were a tough opponent when they continuously showed their tough playing style, not afraid of collision. Besides, the excellence of Hai Phong goalkeeper caused many difficulties for the representative of Vietnam Bank.

The turning point came when the player wearing the number 7 shirt, Ngo Quang Long (Hai Phong Trade Union) received his second yellow card and had to leave the field. Before that, in a dispute, Quang Long and Anh Son (Vietnam Bank Trade Union) had received a yellow card,

Playing with one less man, Ta Anh Tung and his teammates had to huddle together to defend, waiting for an opportunity to counterattack. But with constant efforts, the banking representative broke through Hai Phong's solid defensive wall and tied the game 1-1.

Despite many difficulties, Hai Phong Trade Union did not give up. After a fierce fight, the ball came to Nguyen Van Hung. Player number 11 immediately kicked the ball from outside the penalty area, raising the score to 2-1.

In the second half, Hai Phong players gradually showed signs of fatigue before the Vietnam Bank players. Then, the team representing the Banking industry scored two more important goals, setting the score at 4-2.

This victory helped the Bank boys win a ticket to the semi-finals. Vietnam Bank Union will face Ho Chi Minh City Union 2 on the morning of November 2.
