QTO - On November 1, information from the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune, Quang Tri province said that the authorities found Ms. Ho Thi Mot (born in 1986), residing in Mit Cat village, in stable health condition after more than 12 hours of being isolated in the forest while going to the forest to collect bamboo shoots.

Previously, at around 6:00 a.m. on October 31, 2025, Kim Ngan Commune Police received a report that Ms. Mot went to the forest to pick bamboo shoots and did not return home. After receiving the information, Kim Ngan Commune Police quickly directed the establishment of 5 working groups to closely coordinate with Lang Ho Border Guard Station, Commune Military Command, Forest Ranger force, and local people to actively carry out the search.

After more than 12 hours of crossing dense forests, crossing fast-flowing streams, facing heavy rain and rising groundwater, many areas were eroded and isolated, at noon on November 1, 2025, Ms. Mot was discovered on the bank of a stream along the Long Dai River, passing through Mit Cat village.

Authorities provided first aid and safely transported Ms. Mot across the Long Dai River, then transferred her to a local medical facility for examination, monitoring, and medical care.
