Phu Quy Island is captivating with its emerald green waters, dark volcanic rock formations, refreshing sea breezes, and the slow pace of life of its local people. Unlike many other destinations, Phu Quy is not yet covered by high-rise resorts or mass tourism services. This is what creates its unique appeal: a space where people can truly "live slowly," immerse themselves in nature, and temporarily escape the pressures of urban life.
According to Khaosod English, instead of seeking out well-known destinations like Orchard Road (Singapore) or Angkor Wat (Cambodia), an increasing number of international tourists are looking for unspoiled, remote areas untouched by mass tourism. Phu Quy Island is one of the rare such destinations.
According to statistics, the special economic zone covers an area of 18 square kilometers and has a population of over 32,000 people, possessing great development potential. The island currently has 19 hotels with 393 rooms; 41 villas and guesthouses with 364 rooms; and nearly 100 homestays and guesthouses serving tourists. Each year, Phu Quy attracts more than 527,000 visitors, generating revenue of approximately 375 billion VND.
