In particular, the Argentine Beef and Wine Day taking place tonight (November 11) in Hanoi attracted a large number of attendees and visitors.

Diverse and unique culinary culture

This annual cultural and culinary event offers Vietnamese and international friends a vibrant journey to discover the flavors, traditions and lifestyle of Argentina, with a focus on its most iconic products — beef and wine.

In addition, the event will also introduce typical Argentine cheeses and yerba mate tea, contributing to enriching the experience of Argentina's diverse and distinctive culinary culture.

In Argentina, beef is the soul of every asado—a traditional barbecue where the asador (griller) puts his skills to good use. Nothing brings people together like an asado with friends, good wine, and good laughter.

At the Argentine Beef and Wine Days event, guests will be able to enjoy premium Argentine beef, representing the South American country's long culinary heritage.

Argentina is among the world's top beef exporters, with an output of 700,000 to 900,000 tonnes per year, accounting for approximately 4% of the total global beef export value (World's Top Exports, 2024; USDA FAS, 2025). In addition to its reputation for quality, Argentina has pioneered certification programs to meet European Union import and sustainability standards, focusing on traceability, environmental protection, and deforestation-free production (Food Business MEA, 2024).

As part of the Argentine Beef and Wine Days event, guests will discover a special selection of Argentine wines from a variety of regions and styles — from crisp, aromatic whites to full-bodied, characterful reds — celebrating the diversity, creativity and cultural depth of Argentine winemaking.

Argentina is also the birthplace of yerba mate tea — an iconic South American drink that represents the Argentinean people's respect for nature, tradition, and rustic, pure beauty.

Argentina and Vietnam develop strong and long-term trade relations

Argentina and Vietnam have developed a strong and long-standing trade relationship. In the Latin American region, Argentina is Vietnam’s third largest trading partner, after Brazil and Mexico. In turn, Vietnam has consistently been among Argentina’s top 10 trading partners over the past decade, cementing its position as Argentina’s leading partner in Southeast Asia.

A major strength of Argentina-Vietnam trade relations lies in the complementarity of the two countries’ economies. This resonance has paved the way for mutually beneficial trade exchanges. Vietnam exports a wide range of products to Argentina, including mobile phones, computers, electrical products, footwear, textiles, clothing, iron, steel and other products.

Meanwhile, Argentina is a significant supplier of agricultural products and raw materials, such as soybean meal, corn and wheat, which play an important role in Vietnam's growing economy, especially the animal feed industry. These products not only meet domestic demand but are also exported to third countries.

Recently, high-quality products from Argentina, such as beef, wine, olive oil, seafood and poultry, have become popular in the Vietnamese market, especially in high-end restaurants, hotels and cafes.

Argentina also exports high-tech industrial products to Vietnam, including animal vaccines and biotech pharmaceuticals, contributing to maintaining quality standards for animal and human health as required by Vietnamese law.
