Vietnam's popular specialties in the top 100 best dishes in the world in 2026

Taste Atlas announced the list of the 100 most delicious dishes in the world in 2026, in which Vietnamese cuisine appeared with beef pho and Southern beef noodle soup.

The World's 100 Most Delicious Foods 2026 was announced based on 453,720 valid reviews for 11,781 dishes.

Bun bo Nam Bo ranked 81st (4.4/5 points), pho bo ranked 83rd (4.34/5 points). Last year, pho bo was the only Vietnamese representative, at 91st.

Taste Atlas describes Southern Vietnamese beef noodle soup with main ingredients including stir-fried beef, thin rice noodles, garlic, herbs, various herbs, bean sprouts; roasted peanuts and fried onions.

Pho bo is introduced as a typical dish with broth simmered from bones and spices such as cinnamon, star anise, cloves, cardamom. The meat served with it can be rare, well-done, brisket, tendon; beef balls are noted but not popular in Vietnam.

A bowl of hot pho has the green color of scallions; add some bean sprouts, lemon, chili, black bean sauce and chili sauce depending on taste and restaurant. Taste Atlas recommends three pho restaurants in Hanoi : Pho Thin Lo Duc, Bat Dan and Tu Lun Au Trieu.

Vietnamese cuisine ranked 16th in the top 100 cuisines. Many dishes were mentioned such as bread, beef dipped in vinegar, La Vong fish cakes, Quang noodles, and Chinese braised pork.

Paraguay's Vori-vori tops this year's rankings with a score of 4.6. Italy has 12 dishes in the top 100; Türkiye has 10; Japan has 8; Greece has 5; and Thailand and China have 4 each.
