The power of great unity
In November 2025, the 10-hamlet residential area of Long Thanh commune (An Giang province) was bustling with the atmosphere of the National Great Unity Festival. The bustling Khmer melodies mixed with the smooth sounds of traditional music and exciting tug-of-war games made the festival an occasion to unite the spirit and connect the community.
Mr. Danh Thong, resident of Nga Con hamlet, shared: "The festival atmosphere is very joyful, this year is even more joyful than every year". With the same joy, Mr. Danh Huynh (60 years old, Co Khia hamlet) confided: "People do not distinguish between Kinh, Khmer or any other ethnic group, they are all neighbors who help each other in times of need. The festival is not only fun but also helps strengthen the relationship between the village and the neighborhood".
The Great Unity Day in Long Thanh Commune is a vivid picture of the spirit of national unity in An Giang - a land of 29 ethnic groups, 14 religions, and rich cultural identity. Such diversity places high demands on mass mobilization work, but at the same time is a valuable resource to help the community bond, maintain stability, and promote development.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Le Thanh Viet said that in the 2024 - 2029 term, the Provincial Fatherland Front has boldly innovated the content and form of propaganda, promoting the effectiveness of oral propaganda through meetings, dialogues and community activities.
Many creative models have been deployed such as propaganda via social networks, building community groups in residential areas, integrating content into religious activities, and organizing short, easy-to-understand online propaganda sessions. Thanks to that, information reaches people quickly, intuitively and more easily.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Giang province also cooperated with the Newspaper and An Giang Radio - Television Station to build specialized pages and periodic columns; maintain the quality of the Electronic Information Page, the Front's Newsletter, Facebook Fanpage, Zalo. In particular, 100% of residential areas fully received the Front's Newsletter and the Great Unity Newspaper.
“The work of grasping the situation of the people and public opinion has also been improved thanks to the propaganda teams and collaborators. Thereby, the Front has promptly oriented public opinion, reflected the people's legitimate recommendations to the Party Committee and the government, and proactively refuted false information on cyberspace,” said Le Thanh Viet, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province.
During the term, the Fatherland Front of the whole province organized more than 25,000 propaganda sessions, attracting nearly 1 million participants, contributing to strengthening social consensus and increasing people's trust.
Social supervision and criticism are improved.
Participation in Party and government building is always a key task of the Fatherland Front at all levels. Direct dialogue conferences between Party and government leaders and the people are organized, creating a forum for people to contribute opinions and reflect their thoughts and aspirations.
During the process of collecting opinions on draft laws and important documents, the An Giang Fatherland Front attracted more than 13,000 opinions, including more than 11,500 opinions from individuals and more than 1,600 opinions from agencies and organizations.

The Front also contributed ideas to hundreds of proposals, projects and nearly 800 draft documents of the People's Council, People's Committee and departments and branches; organized 428 supervision sessions on pressing issues such as land, social security, administrative reform, and prevention of negativity. At the same time, the Fatherland Front at all levels coordinated to organize 155 meetings with voters, with more than 13,600 participants, helping to promptly convey people's opinions to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.

Emulation movement: spreading the spirit of humanity
Ms. Nguyen Thi Chieu, a lonely old woman in Tan Hiep commune, used to live in a temporary house, but now she is supported with a solidarity house. Ms. Chieu was moved: "I live alone, now I have a new house, I am very happy."
Not only Ms. Chieu, the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" in An Giang province has supported 9,082 houses for households with housing difficulties, of which 7,185 were newly built and 1,897 were repaired, with a total cost of over 480 billion VND, demonstrating a profound humanitarian spirit.

Campaigns such as “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas” have achieved high efficiency: the rate of cultural households is over 90%, and cultural residential areas are 99%. Models of self-management, environmental protection, security and order, and livelihood development have been widely replicated, contributing to the completion of new rural criteria.
The Fund for the Poor received over 145 billion VND, through which it built 1,530 houses and repaired 1,193 Great Solidarity houses; social security programs reached over 90 billion VND.
An Giang people join hands to support necessities to support compatriots affected by natural disasters and floods in 2025.
Disaster relief activities spreading the spirit of mutual love have been promoted by the Fatherland Front at all levels in An Giang province. The Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has mobilized support for people in the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3 - storm Yagi in 2024, with an amount of over 56.8 billion VND; mobilized support for people affected by natural disasters and floods in 2025, with an amount of over 30 billion VND; supported over 50 tons of goods and necessities for people in Thai Nguyen and Lang Son to overcome natural disasters and floods.
New term: Entering the era of development
In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Giang province determined to continue promoting its core role in building the great national unity bloc, improving the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism; protecting the legitimate rights of the people; promoting people-to-people diplomacy and innovating grassroots activities.

The Fatherland Front of An Giang province is determined to move from formal movements to real results, taking effectiveness and people's benefits as the measure. Each program and model is quantified with specific data, has the ability to be replicated and has a direct impact on people's lives.
