Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has just concluded on the contents related to the fields of trade, planning, and land of a number of projects in the province.

Notably, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Tu Ky District People's Committee to evaluate the process of land use, construction investment, and handling of violations at the O Me village park project of Mr. Nguyen Van Chien's household (also known as tycoon Chien "pig") when the competent authority had not yet permitted the change of land use purpose.

The Provincial People's Committee requested strict handling of violations of land and construction laws regarding the above project.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee also requested Tu Ky district to strengthen land and construction management in the area; direct the implementation of prevention, timely handling and resolutely stopping violations right from the grassroots level.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chien is known as a pig trader who spent billions to build a park of more than 13,000 square meters for people to enjoy for free. However, when implementing this project, Mr. Chien encountered many controversies about land and construction violations.

According to the report of Hung Dao Commune People's Committee, Mr. Chien is using a total area of 13,228m2, including land for annual crops, traffic land, irrigation land, and public land of the Commune People's Committee. On this land area, Mr. Chien has built a number of construction items such as a garage, Eiffel Tower model, rockery, lake, marina... The total construction area is about 2,000 square meters.

According to the above report, Mr. Chien is violating land laws by arbitrarily changing the purpose of using agricultural land to non-agricultural land without permission from competent state agencies.

Tu Ky District People's Committee has requested Hung Dao Commune People's Committee to urgently prepare documents to serve the management and handling of violations, especially resolutely preventing new violations from arising.
