Hanoi National University has just announced the establishment of a semiconductor alliance, developed on the basis of an alliance of 5 higher education institutions, including: Hanoi National University, Danang University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology.
In addition, there are currently more than 20 universities, organizations and enterprises at home and abroad confirming their participation in the Semiconductor Alliance.
The mission of the semiconductor alliance is to build a closely connected ecosystem between training, research, application development, manufacturing and commercialization of semiconductor technology products.
Accordingly, connecting laboratory systems, sharing modern facilities and equipment, creating conditions for implementing large, interdisciplinary research projects on domestic chip design and manufacturing; promoting training of source lecturers, technology transfer and capacity building for universities, research institutes and enterprises.
At the same time, promote research, design and manufacture of “Make in Vietnam” chips, increase the localization rate and added value; participate in policy consulting for the Government and management agencies to build a sustainable development strategy for the national semiconductor industry.
The Alliance operates on the principles of voluntariness, equality and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Each member is respected and encouraged to promote their own strengths, creating a combined strength for the development of the semiconductor industry.
