Hanoi Pedagogical University establishes 3 new schools

Specifically, the newly established schools under Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) will have the following functions and tasks:

The University of Child Development Sciences will conduct interdisciplinary research on children such as: Physiology, nutrition, developmental psychology, child education and care, intervention and educational therapy for children with special needs...

Has the function of consulting and supporting parents in early education and child care for children aged 0-6 years old, at home, in the community and in educational institutions.

The school will train teachers and specialists in early childhood education, special education, support staff for children with special needs, family education specialists and child development policy specialists.

The University of Educational Sciences will be a key national center for training, research, and transfer of educational science knowledge.

The school will train lecturers and researchers in the following fields of educational sciences: Pedagogy, educational measurement and evaluation, general education, university education, education and community development, education and communication, educational management, educational technology, adult and continuing education, educational psychology, school psychology and educational policy.

The school also has the function of providing educational consultancy to parents, consulting on organization and improving the quality of education for educational institutions, and implementing community education programs.

The University of Mathematics and Information Technology will be a center for advanced training and research approaching international standards in the fields of mathematics and information technology, contributing to the development of Vietnamese science and education in the digital age.

This is also a place for basic and applied research in the fields of mathematics, applied mathematics and information technology, developing modern, interdisciplinary research directions such as artificial intelligence (AI), data science, big data analysis and mathematical modeling, application of artificial intelligence and data science in education.

According to the school, the establishment of three affiliated universities is part of the university preparation roadmap of Hanoi National University of Education.

The new policy also aims to concretize the implementation of the Prime Minister's decision on approving the planning of the network of higher education and pedagogical institutions for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

According to this orientation, Hanoi National University of Education is a key national university in pedagogy, oriented towards high-quality research and training, playing a core and leading role in the network of university education institutions training teachers.

Currently, there are 11 universities nationwide including: Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Thai Nguyen University, Hue University, Da Nang University, Hanoi University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, National Economics University, Can Tho University, Duy Tan University, Phenikaa University.

According to the Draft Plan for the network of higher education and pedagogical institutions for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 (except for schools under the Ministry of Public Security, National Defense, and pedagogical colleges) of the Ministry of Education and Training, it is expected that by 2030, the whole country will have about 250 higher education institutions and 50 branches of 200 key higher education institutions, with a distribution orientation according to regions.

Of these, there are about 30 key national higher education institutions, including 5 national universities; 5 regional universities and from 18 to 20 key national and industry higher education institutions.

By 2030, Hue University, Danang University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology are expected to become national universities.
