Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographers in Binh Dinh province, term 2024

(NADS) - On the morning of December 12, in Quy Nhon City, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) of Binh Dinh Province held its 5th Congress for the 2024-2029 term.

Attending and directing the Congress were: poet Mai Thin, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Province Literature and Arts Association and Artist Huynh Anh - Member of the Executive Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Association of Artists.

During the 4th term (2019 - 2024), the members of the Association actively participated in creative camps and creative field trips organized by the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, the Central Professional Association, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; The Association organized and coordinated photo exhibitions to celebrate anniversaries and events of the province; coordinated to organize photo contests... During the term, the Association's artists won 592 awards with hundreds of works exhibited domestically and internationally; the Association's collective and many individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Association of Artists. During the term, the Association added 8 new members, bringing the total number of members to 15.

In the 5th term (2024 - 2029), the Association continues to organize creative activities and exhibitions; participate in provincial, regional, national and international photo contests and exhibitions to exchange and learn, publish new works, introduce the image of Binh Dinh people and homeland to domestic and foreign audiences; coordinate and propose the Binh Dinh Literature and Arts Association to organize many photo contests with diverse topics; find socialized funding sources to organize professional activities, creative activities, and exhibitions; exchange with Photography Associations of other provinces to exchange creative expertise; develop new members...

The Congress elected a new Executive Committee consisting of 3 artists: Nguyen Xuan Tuyen, Nguyen Tung De, Nguyen Tien Dung; Artist Nguyen Xuan Tuyen was elected as Branch Chairman; at the same time, elected 05 delegates to attend the National Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists for the 2025-2030 term.

Within the framework of the Congress and towards welcoming the National Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographers for the 2025-2030 term, on the morning of December 12, at the Provincial Convention Center, the Vietnam Association of Photographers of Binh Dinh Province coordinated with the Photography Association (Provincial Association of Literature and Arts) to organize the opening of the 4th "Meeting" Art Photography Exhibition.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

The exhibition introduces to the public 80 works by 11 members of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts in Binh Dinh province, reflecting the beauty of landscapes, working life, craft villages, cultural activities, sports , festivals, cultural heritage... The exhibition runs until December 16, 2024.
