The 5th Congress of the Vietnam Post Corporation Trade Union is an important political event for all union members, workers and trade union organizations.
With the close guidance of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, the Party Committee of the Corporation, the close coordination of expertise and the spirit of solidarity of the staff, employees, the Trade Union of the Corporation has promoted its role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees. Trade union activities from the Corporation to the grassroots units are increasingly disciplined and effective; many new policies and regimes for employees are issued and implemented promptly, contributing to motivating, encouraging, strengthening the trust, peace of mind, and attachment of staff, employees to the development strategy of the Corporation and the trade union organization.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Chairman of the General Corporation's Trade Union Tran Duc Thich shared that "the period 2023 - 2025 has passed with many unprecedented difficulties and challenges, but it is also a period marking the outstanding efforts of the entire Vietnam Post system.
In the context of strong digital transformation, the need to restructure the production and business model is increasingly urgent, the cadres, union members and employees of the Post Office have promoted the glorious tradition of the industry. The results achieved in the past term are a testament to the intelligence, courage and solidarity of more than 40,000 cadres, union members and employees of Vietnam Post across the country."
The Union has closely coordinated with the Department to launch many practical emulation movements, closely following the production and business practices, focusing on direct workers. A series of key emulation programs have been implemented synchronously, such as improving service quality, promoting revenue, developing social insurance, emulation at BĐ-VHX..., along with the peak periods of "150 days to finish", "120 days of action - Successfully finish", "90 days of attack - Determined to win", creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the network. In particular, the "120 days of action - Successfully finish" campaign in 2024 has brought about a total victory, helping the revenue of the fourth quarter of 2024 of the whole Corporation increase by 49%.
The movement "Good workers, Creative workers" with the core of the "Initiative - Creativity" program continues to arouse the spirit of innovation, recording 1,294 initiatives at the Corporation level in 2023 and 2024. Emulation movements associated with studying and following Uncle Ho, emulation to celebrate major events, union cluster activities... have been effectively implemented, contributing to maintaining market share, improving productivity, increasing income for workers, completing and exceeding production and business targets. Thereby, many outstanding collectives and individuals have been recognized and rewarded by all levels, strongly spreading the spirit of patriotic emulation and love for the industry throughout the Corporation.
One of the highlights of the Corporation's Trade Union in the period of 2023-2025 is to ensure good care, visit, encouragement and support for material and spiritual life, natural disaster relief, etc. for more than 27,000 workers in difficult circumstances, contract workers, social workers and workers at BĐ-VHX; health care for more than 40,000 workers across the network. Specialized welfare programs and social security activities are organized regularly. The total amount of money spent on activities to care for, support workers and social security is 40.5 billion VND.
Comrade Nguyen Truong Giang, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation gave a speech at the Congress.
Speaking at the Congress, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation acknowledged and praised the achievements that the Corporation's Trade Union had achieved in the past term. "Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, the Corporation is facing the requirement of extensive innovation, restructuring the system, standardizing the autonomous Commune Post Office model, promoting digital transformation, deploying a series of new services, and forming modern management models. All of these changes have a direct impact on employees and therefore, the role of the Trade Union in the new term is more important than ever.
Comrade Nguyen Truong Giang emphasized that the Corporation's Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term needs to focus on the following five major orientations: (1) Caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees; (2) strongly innovating the content and methods of union activities; improving the quality of union officials at all levels, especially those at the grassroots level; (3) strengthening supervision and criticism so that policies and guidelines are implemented in line with reality and harmonizing the interests of all parties; (4) coordinating to organize practical emulation movements, promoting creativity and effective growth; (5) coordinating the expertise of the Corporation in building corporate culture, enhancing the satisfaction and pride of each Postal union member.

Comrade Pham Duc Long, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , Chairman of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, praised and expressed deep gratitude to more than 40 thousand cadres, union members and workers in the entire Postal network, who work day and night to maintain the country's important and irreplaceable "logistics - service bloodline".
The Chairman of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union emphasized that the Corporation's Trade Union needs to focus on implementing three key strategic tasks: taking more practical care of the lives and interests of workers, especially the frontline workforce; considering digital transformation, application of science and technology, and innovation as emulation movements throughout the entire term; identifying training, fostering, and retraining digital skills for workers as key, regular, and continuous tasks.
With outstanding achievements in the period of 2023-2025, the Trade Union of Vietnam Post Corporation has been awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for many consecutive years; many collectives, trade union units and exemplary individuals have been awarded Certificates of Merit, Certificates of Merit, and have been commended and honored by the General Confederation, the industry trade union and the Trade Union of the Corporation.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Corporation's Trade Union, term V, 2025-2030.
With a spirit of democracy and high responsibility, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the General Corporation's Trade Union for the 5th term, 2025-2030, consisting of 19 comrades with sufficient qualities, capacity and enthusiasm to lead the organization to successfully implement the Congress Resolution; elected a delegation to attend the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, including 34 official delegates and 02 alternate delegates.
Comrade Pham Duc Long - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union and Comrade Chu Quang Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director congratulated the Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
The Congress called on all cadres, union members, employees and workers of the entire Corporation to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union; the glorious tradition of "Loyalty - Courage - Dedication - Creativity - Compassion" of the Post Office; each union member and worker in the Corporation needs to uphold the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening to overcome all difficulties and challenges, determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 5th Congress, towards the goal of building a sustainable, modern and humane Vietnam Post.
