On the morning of January 14th, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) held the 6th meeting of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the VFF, 10th term.

Presenting the draft plan for organizing the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ha Thi Nga, said that the Congress will take place over two days, tentatively scheduled for early May 2026 (before May 15th) at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ).
" The total number of delegates expected to attend the Congress is 1,250. Of these, 1,000 are official delegates and approximately 250 are invited guests ," said Ms. Ha Thi Nga.
The agenda for the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front includes: a report reviewing the activities of the Central Committee, the Presidium, and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the period 2024-2026; approval of the revised and supplemented Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; consultation and election of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and the introduction of members of the Presidium of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to the Congress...
Regarding the results of the Fatherland Front's work in 2025, Ms. Ha Thi Nga stated that the system of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels actively contributed in-depth opinions, focusing on issues of public and people concern regarding the draft amendments and supplements to the Constitution, draft laws, and guiding documents for implementation, under very tight time constraints.
Emulation movements and campaigns continue to receive active attention from the entire political system, and the enthusiastic participation of all strata of the people with many creative models and approaches that have widespread impact and effectiveness.
In particular, coordinated efforts have resulted in the construction of 334,234 houses, worth nearly 24,762 billion VND, contributing to the successful implementation of the "Nationwide Campaign to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" in 2025; a notable highlight is that the entire country completed the program 5 years and 4 months ahead of schedule compared to the target set in the 13th Central Committee Resolution on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide.
According to Ms. Ha Thi Nga, social relief efforts and support for people and localities affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods have been implemented quickly and promptly, mobilizing the immense strength of a large number of people from all walks of life, the entire political system, and the support of many agencies, organizations, and international friends.
" In 2025, the Presidium issued two appeals for support for people affected by storms and floods. The entire system mobilized over 3,900 billion VND in donations; received 1,380 billion VND through the Central Relief Campaign Committee; and allocated over 833 billion VND in 10 installments, with the remaining amount to be allocated during the Lunar New Year in 2026 ," the Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front cited the figures.
Another notable achievement mentioned by Ms. Ha Thi Nga was the focus on preparing and implementing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, within the authority and responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
