On the morning of January 19th, at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ), the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam held its preparatory session. The Congress will take place from January 19th to 25th with the motto "Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development".
The theme of the Congress is "Under the glorious banner of the Party, working together to achieve the national development goals by 2030; self-reliant and confident in advancing strongly in the era of national progress, for peace , independence, democracy, prosperity, happiness, and steadily progressing towards Socialism."
The Congress will be attended by 1,586 delegates representing more than 5.6 million party members. The official opening session will take place on the morning of January 20th.
The National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam has always been a momentous political event, with strategic significance for the country's development in each historical period. The 14th Party Congress is expected to pave the way for the Vietnamese nation to enter an era of progress.

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei expressed his confidence that, under the wise leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary To Lam, the Party and people of Vietnam will successfully organize the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, leading the country into a new era, developing the nation, and making new and greater contributions to peace and development in the region and the world.
In his remarks, Ambassador Ha Vi was particularly impressed by the political acumen and immense determination of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by General Secretary To Lam. The Central Committee has led the Vietnamese people in deepening reforms, strengthening the Party's leadership, and focusing on implementing four key resolutions on scientific and technological innovation, international integration, legislation and law enforcement, and the development of the private economy. The Central Committee has actively promoted institutional reforms within the Party and government, and the merger of provinces and cities, achieving a series of unprecedented results and accomplishments.

Sharing the same view, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam, Mr. Bezdetko Gennady Stepanovich, also highly appreciated Vietnam's "undeniable" achievements over the past five years, with high GDP growth and people's income, stable inflows of foreign investment and technology, modernized transportation infrastructure, and increasingly simplified administrative procedures. These achievements are thanks to the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the State, and the Government of Vietnam.
Looking ahead to the long and glorious journey of bilateral relations, and in the context of celebrating the 76th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the Russian Ambassador expressed confidence that the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam will create the legal basis for Vietnam to move into a new strategic development phase, entering the "era of national resurgence." The 14th National Congress will also create new momentum for bilateral relations to develop more deeply and substantively.
In a video congratulating the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes expressed his confidence and hope that Vietnam will continue to affirm its development path: building a people-centered society, developing the country in accordance with socialist principles, in harmony with the environment, and actively integrating with the international community.
"We also believe that Vietnam will continue to build an economy that generates more and more wealth for the nation, brings higher and more equitable social welfare to the people, and promotes the comprehensive and sustainable development of the country."
"The achievements that Vietnam has made in recent years are clear evidence that, under the leadership of the Communist Party, with the spirit of unity, unwavering will, and consensus of the people, it is entirely possible to build a developed, stable, and progressive society," Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes shared.
