Provincial leaders attended and offered congratulations at the grand ceremony.

On the evening of May 22nd, at Cam Son Pagoda in Thanh Sen Ward, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ha Tinh Province organized the Grand Buddha's Birthday Celebration for the Buddhist year 2570 - Gregorian year 2026.

Attending the event were Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem - Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, Head of the Central Propagation Committee, and Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ha Tinh province; and other venerable monks of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ha Tinh province.

Representing the leadership of Ha Tinh province were the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Ha Van Hung; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ho Huy Thanh; the Secretary of the Thanh Sen Ward Party Committee, Tran Quoc Tuan; and leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and various departments and agencies.

At the ceremony, delegates, monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers heard information about the life of the Buddha and the message for the Buddha's Birthday celebration in the Buddhist calendar year 2570 from the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Association.

The message emphasizes that 2026 marks a new period of development for the country following the reorganization of administrative boundaries, the streamlining of organizational structures, and the improvement of the legal system, with a determination to achieve even stronger development in the future.

Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem - Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, Head of the Central Propagation Committee, and Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of the province - read the Buddha's Birthday message for the Buddhist year 2570 - Gregorian year 2026 from the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Association.

The Supreme Patriarch called upon all venerable monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers to continue their commitment to service in a spirit of mindfulness and peace; to uphold the tradition of patriotism, to walk alongside the nation, and to contribute to building a better society.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Huy Thanh extended his best wishes to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ha Tinh province, the senior monks, abbots, dignitaries, and Buddhist followers in the province for a healthy, happy, and peaceful Vesak season. He also acknowledged the contributions of the dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in building national unity, developing socio -economic conditions, and maintaining security and order in the province over the past period.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed the Buddhist dignitaries of the province about the socio-economic situation of the province after 10 months of implementing the policy of merging and operating under the two-tiered local government model. He also expressed his hope that the dignitaries, monks, and nuns would continue to promote the spirit of unity; work together with the Party committees and governments at all levels to effectively implement the policies and guidelines of the Party, the State, and the province; participate in patriotic emulation movements; and contribute to building a stronger, more prosperous, and civilized Ha Tinh province.
