(HBĐT) - On August 26 (July 11 of the lunar calendar), Kim Son Lac Hong Pagoda (Mong Hoa Commune, Hoa Binh City) held the Vu Lan Grand Ceremony to show filial piety and pardon the deceased.
The organizing committee of the Vu Lan Festival of filial piety at Kim Son Lac Hong Pagoda and representatives of the leaders of Toan Cau - Lac Hong Vien Investment, Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company and local leaders awarded scholarships to outstanding students.
Participating in the Great Ceremony, hundreds of Buddhists and people witnessed and practiced a number of traditional rituals and meaningful activities such as: The Great Buddha Invitation Ceremony; the Buddha and Saints' Summer Ceremony; the Vu Lan Sutra chanting to show filial piety, releasing animals; the Wishing Food - Giving Food course; the rose pinning ceremony; the robe offering, offerings to monks, venerable monks and nuns; releasing flower lanterns... Along with that is the music and art program "Gratitude for Parents" including many special performances: "The Twin Sisters of the Upper Realm", "The Ten Graces of Parents", the "Muc Kieu Lien's Gratitude" scene, sand painting Mother's Diary...

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee and Toan Cau - Lac Hong Vien Investment, Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company awarded scholarships to outstanding local students; supported house repair costs for Mr. Nguyen Van Soan's family (Mong Hoa commune) with an amount of 30 million VND.
