On June 8, Taiwan activated its defense systems after detecting dozens of Chinese military aircraft flying into the island's air defense identification zone (ADIZ), Reuters reported.
According to Taiwan's Defense Ministry, at 5 a.m., they detected 37 Chinese air force aircraft, including J-11 and J-16 fighters as well as nuclear-capable H-6 bombers. Taipei said the planes had entered the ADIZ, an area outside Taiwan's airspace designed to detect and warn of threats early.
