Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia congratulates 50th anniversary of Laos National Day

On December 2, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu and officials of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia congratulated the Lao Embassy in Phnom Penh on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

At the reception, Ambassador Buakeo Phumvongsay expressed his joy and honor when General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, attended the 50th anniversary of Laos' National Day; and thanked the Party, State and people of Vietnam for always showing their good feelings and sincere support to the country and people of Laos.

The Ambassador emphasized that Vietnam and Laos are two close neighbors. The Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam share the same origin as the Indochinese Communist Party, which was nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong.

Throughout the history of each country, since its founding, the two Parties have always been united together, leading the army and people of the two countries side by side, sharing joys and sorrows, defeating the common enemy, achieving complete victory, liberating their nations; at the same time working together to build and develop the country in the new situation. The Ambassador believes that the relationship between the two countries will continue to be strengthened and developed to new heights.

Expressing his joy at Laos' successful organization of the 50th National Day Celebration (December 2) in the capital Vientiane, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu highly appreciated the achievements that the brotherly country of Laos has achieved over the past 50 years, as well as the strong development in all areas of relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador also emphasized that adding the element of “strategic connection” in the relationship between the two countries in the new development era that the leaders of the two countries recently agreed upon in Vientiane will create conditions for Vietnam and Laos to develop even more strongly in the coming time, meeting the wishes of the people of the two countries.

Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu and the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy wish to continue to cooperate closely with the Lao Embassy, ​​actively contributing to the relationship between the two countries; as well as agree to regularly organize exchange programs to strengthen friendship, contributing to further enhancing the relationship between the two countries in the coming time.
