Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , on the morning of November 28 in Berlin, the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany organized a fundraising event to support the people of the Central and Central Highlands regions who were severely affected by floods. The program received positive responses from the Embassy's staff and agencies along with the embassy.

Speaking at the fundraising event, Ambassador Nguyen Dac Thanh gave an overview of the serious damage caused by natural disasters in many localities in recent times, and called on the Vietnamese community in Germany to continue promoting the spirit of mutual love and support to help people in flood-affected areas overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

The Ambassador emphasized that more than ever, the people of the Central and Central Highlands regions are in dire need of the loving arms, timely support and encouragement of our compatriots nationwide and overseas Vietnamese. "We earnestly call on our people to uphold the fine traditions of the nation, to share and support our compatriots in flood-affected areas to overcome this difficult time," the Ambassador emphasized.

Currently, Mr. Nguyen Quang Anh - Vice President of the Vietnamese Association in Germany is in Vietnam to transfer the second amount of 420 million VND to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The Golden Lotus Charity Association Berlin, Germany is present in the flood-hit area of Hoa Tri - Phu Yen, distributing 2 tons of rice and 200 boxes of noodles to 200 households.

This is a very timely and practical activity. Every heart, no matter how small, is extremely precious; every contribution, no matter how little or much, helps our compatriots gain more confidence and strength to stand up after the storm and flood.

Recently, the Vietnamese community in Germany has continuously carried out many charity activities to support compatriots affected by natural disasters in the country. Previously, on October 5, the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, in coordination with the Vietnamese Association in Germany and community associations, organized a fundraising event to support compatriots affected by storm No. 10, raising nearly 5 billion VND.

At the initial fundraising event, the Embassy collected nearly 100 million VND. Although these contributions cannot compensate for the losses suffered by people in the disaster area, they are a vivid demonstration of the hearts always turned towards the homeland and country of those who are far away from their Fatherland.

On the same afternoon, the Vietnamese Association will inform the Executive Committee of the Association about the damage caused by floods in the Central Highlands provinces and call for the cooperation of the Vietnamese community in Germany towards their homeland.
