During the Lunar New Year holiday, Vietnam Television (VTV) presents a spectacular "Tet feast" with a series of special programs spreading the atmosphere of spring reunion throughout the country.

Whether they personally revamp their songs, meticulously prepare everything from costumes to their stage presence... every artist wants to create the most polished performances for VTV viewers in the early days of the new year.

A large lineup of artists at 'Hoa Xuan Ca'

The "Spring Flower Song" grand music festival - VTV's annual art program - officially returns with the theme "The Beautiful Landscape of Vietnam."

This year's program presents a special feature, bringing together the largest number of artists ever. Besides familiar faces from previous seasons of "Hoa Xuan Ca," this year's program also features many talented young artists making their debut, creating a fresh and vibrant atmosphere to help viewers conclude the old year on a high note and usher in a new year filled with hope.

"The magnificent tapestry of Vietnam" is not only a praise of the country's beauty, but also an affirmation that Vietnam today – after 80 years of independence and 50 years of reunification – is continuing to weave its own brilliant tapestry with pride, intelligence, and aspiration for progress.

The music of "Hoa Xuan Ca 2026" is oriented towards a creative, fresh, and emotionally rich spirit, deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture but also full of modern and youthful energy.

The program features collaborations between artists of different generations and styles, not only refreshing the stage atmosphere but also expanding the emotional range for the audience ahead of the new year.

The program will be broadcast for the first time at 8 PM on February 15, 2026 (28th day of the Lunar New Year) on VTV1, VTV3, VTV8, VTV Can Tho , and VTV Go; the second time will be broadcast at 9:30 PM on February 16 (29th day of the Lunar New Year) on VTV3.

Meet at 'Spring Square'

This year, instead of "Meeting at the End of the Year: Táo Quân," Vietnam Television is launching "Meeting at the End of the Year - Spring Square" – a brand-new comprehensive arts program, opening up a vibrant artistic space where youthful energy perfectly blends with the quintessential spirit of the traditional Lunar New Year.

Set against the backdrop of the "Square"—a symbol of community connection and the vibrant intermingling of diverse cultures—the program is a gathering place and a platform for spreading hopes for a happy new year.

Audiences will relive beautiful memories through a humorous yet touching "old love story" in the skit by People's Artist Hong Van and Meritorious Artist Chi Trung. The story of enduring marital love over the years will bring moments of profound humanistic reflection amidst the hustle and bustle of life.

The dynamic duo of Cao Dau (Do Duy Nam) and Thien Loi (Meritorious Artist Tien Minh) will "stir up" the Heavenly Court with stories from the mortal world: Pickleball, AI Camera... In particular, Cao Dau's charming opening greeting to the melody of the song "The First Spring" will evoke pride in a nation united in striving for well-being and prosperity.

A highlight not to be missed is the appearance of the "Apple" trio: Trung Ruoi, Thai Son, and Luu Huyen Trang. With their witty and intelligent banter, the artists will bring refreshing laughter while also offering insightful commentary on the "streamlining and merger" issue.

Adding to the excitement of the program were appearances by artists such as Isaac, Hoang Hai, Hoang Yen Chibi, Hau Hoang, MisThy... along with familiar actors from the "VFC universe."

The reunion of the five MCs: Tuan Duong, Hanh Phuc, Phi Linh, Thuy Hang, and Bao Chau is the pride of this year's program. They are not just presenters but also representatives of core content areas: from the dignified focus of current affairs and political commentary, the freshness of culture and entertainment, to the dynamism of sports . For the first time, viewers will witness a special collaboration as the entire MC team directly participates in the musical "Spring Square."

The program will be broadcast at 8:00 PM on New Year's Eve (February 16th) on VTV and the national digital platform VTV Go.

Vietnamese people sow seeds in foreign lands.

“Homecoming 2026 – The Sowing Season” is a special Tet program for the Vietnamese community abroad and audiences in Vietnam.

Using the image of a grain of rice as a symbol, the program tells stories of Vietnamese people who have left their homeland but remain connected to their roots – people who are silently sowing life, knowledge, technology, and Vietnamese identity across many continents.

In the operating room of a hospital in Cuanza Sul province, Angola, the electricity may flicker. Equipment may be scarce. But time waits for no one. Dr. Cao Van Vinh stands before a case of umbilical cord prolapse – just a few minutes' delay and a life will slip away. Some nights, he hears the cries of babies emanating from the recovery room and falls silent. Those cries, in the dry, windswept African landscape, are like a seed just sprouting from barren soil.

In another part of Africa, there are no cries of newborns, only the silence of cracked, dry land. Dr. Vu Van Thoai arrived in Kenya during the dry season. He saw children scooping water from shallow puddles in the riverbed. The Kibwazi region was nothing but bushes and hot winds. He thought he would return empty-handed. Two attempts at planting the seeds failed. The soil didn't retain moisture. Rain was scarce. But he didn't give up. He channeled water from a distant river to a reservoir, covered the seeds with coconut fiber to retain moisture, and searched for the healthiest sandalwood seeds. Years later, from a single tiny sandalwood seed, a forest gradually formed.

In Burgess Hill, England, 10-year-old Diana Ngoc Anh is practicing every Vietnamese accent and the nuances of the folk songs. At school, she speaks English. At home, her parents teach her to remember that she is Vietnamese. One day, she stood in front of the class, wearing an ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress), explaining about the lotus flower and teaching her classmates to pronounce the name " Ho Chi Minh ." The folk songs of Nghe An province – once sung on the banks of the Lam Giang River – now resound in the schoolyard in the United Kingdom.

If you put all those stories side by side, you'll see one thing: Tiny seeds. Different plots of land. But from the same root.

"The Sowing Season" is more than just a Tet holiday television program. It's a message that wherever they are, Vietnamese people are quietly sowing seeds of responsibility, knowledge, and love for their homeland – so that one day, those seeds will grow into a forest.

The program will be broadcast on VTV1, VTV2, VTV3, VTV4, VTV5, VTV8 and Vietnam Today (with English subtitles) of Vietnam Television./.
