General Luong Tam Quang said that the number of crimes against social order decreased by 12.18%; in which, some dangerous and especially dangerous crimes decreased sharply compared to the same period in 2024. The police force focused on launching 9 peak campaigns to attack and suppress crimes; the investigation and discovery rate reached 81.32%; in which, very serious cases reached 93.25%, especially serious cases reached 95.16% (exceeding the target assigned by the National Assembly).

The number of crimes related to economic management order is 28.97% less, the number of crimes related to corruption and positions is 17.57% less than the same period in 2024.

The number of environmental, resource, and food safety crimes is 48.17% lower than the same period in 2024. The number of crimes in the field of information technology and telecommunications is 11.53% lower than the same period in 2024. The number of drug crimes is 18.29% lower than the same period in 2024.

In the field of traffic order and safety, the Minister of Public Security said that although traffic accidents have decreased in all three criteria, there are still some particularly serious cases, causing many deaths and injuries. The main reasons pointed out by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security are that the system of legal documents is still being perfected; propaganda work has not reached many subjects that need propaganda; equipment and means of some agencies and units have not met requirements.

In 2026, the Minister stated that the task is to strengthen security and defense in strategic areas in the new development space. The force will focus on identifying and proactively deploying solutions to curb and reduce crime.

The Minister pointed out another important task is to implement the policy of arranging cadres according to the standard and criteria framework at 3 levels of public security, associated with increasing the staffing at the grassroots level; at the same time, promoting research and application of science and technology to serve the fields of crime prevention and control.

Presenting the report on crime prevention and law violation, Chairman of the Law and Justice Committee Hoang Thanh Tung said that although basically all types of crimes and law violations have decreased compared to the same period (down 19.18%), some types of crimes still increased.

The investigating agency cited evidence such as: fraud, property appropriation (up 11.76%), disturbing public order (up 21.83%), manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods (up 47.17%). Some murder cases with brutal, inhumane acts, killing many people due to emotional conflicts, causing anger, anxiety, and insecurity among the people.
