In his handover speech, Senior General Trinh Van Quyet expressed his emotion at completing the responsibility of Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. More than 4 years working at the General Department of Politics have left many memories, deep feelings, and unforgettable impressions.

General Trinh Van Quyet said that over the years, the entire army has always maintained the Party's ideological foundation in the Army; ensured the Party's absolute and direct leadership in all aspects over the Army and the cause of national defense and protection of the Fatherland; there has been no case of officers and soldiers shirking their duties. From the Central Military Commission to the Party organizations in the entire army, all are strong in politics, ideology, organization, ethics and cadres; always steadfast in the Party's goals and ideals, leading units to successfully complete all political tasks, even in difficult and unexpected circumstances.

General Trinh Van Quyet assessed that the General Department of Politics has gathered a team of cadres with qualifications, capacity, courage, and practical experience, and has performed well in strategic positions. Many comrades have matured, demonstrated capacity, qualities, ethics, and sense of responsibility, ensuring the successful completion of all tasks assigned by the Party, State, and Central Military Commission.

At the same time, the General Department of Politics has proactively consolidated its organizational apparatus to meet the requirements of tasks in the new context; paid attention to building cultural institutions, social security and welfare for officers and soldiers; and deployed the construction of the Vietnam Military History Museum to become a cultural highlight, educating revolutionary traditions, attracting a large number of people and the young generation.

Having served in the Army for 41 years, although assigned by the Party to a new field of work, General Trinh Van Quyet affirmed that in any position, he will wholeheartedly and fully carry out the assigned tasks; and will continue to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the tradition of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Receiving the handover of responsibilities and tasks as Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, General Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his emotion, pride and deep attachment to the Army, the General Department of Politics and his comrades and colleagues. He said that immediately after the President made the decision to appoint him as Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the work was deployed urgently, seriously and ensured to be smooth.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that the Party, State, Politburo, Secretariat and General Secretary To Lam have great trust and expectations in the Army, especially the General Department of Politics - a particularly important strategic advisory agency, responsible for Party and political work in the entire army.

According to General Nguyen Trong Nghia, in recent times, our Army has clearly demonstrated its comprehensive strength, mettle and discipline in all fields, from combat readiness, search and rescue, peacekeeping, to defense diplomacy activities. Party and political work have been implemented comprehensively and effectively, creating a solid foundation for the growth of the Army.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia respectfully acknowledged the contributions of generations of cadres, generals, and officers, especially General Trinh Van Quyet, who, together with the General Department of Politics, left many profound marks in the work of Party building, political and ideological education, culture, foreign information, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that the General Department of Politics will continue to inherit and promote the glorious tradition of 81 years of building, fighting and growing, effectively implementing the five requirements that General Secretary To Lam stated at the 80th Anniversary of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; at the same time, continue to proactively advise the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on strategic issues of Party work and political work in the new situation.

In the coming time, General Nguyen Trong Nghia said that the General Department of Politics will strengthen close coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other ministries and branches in perfecting the mechanism and regulations for coordination of work; building a solid ideological posture; consolidating the great national unity bloc; continuing to perform well the strategic advisory function for the Party, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense in the fields of politics, ideology, culture, protecting the Party's ideological foundation; strongly innovating propaganda methods, digital transformation in Party and political work, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive Army.
