General Phan Van Giang and the delegation visited and offered flowers and incense to the heroic martyrs at the Dak Lak Martyrs Cemetery; visited and presented gifts to 55 families of policy beneficiaries and outstanding meritorious people of Dak Lak province.
Implementing the plan of the Secretariat on visiting and presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 20, the Central working delegation led by General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families and meritorious people in Dak Lak province.
The delegation included comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and representatives of central ministries, branches, the Central Party Office, heads of agencies of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 5 and comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province...
General Phan Van Giang and the delegation offered incense to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap at the provincial Martyrs' Temple and offered flowers and incense to heroes and martyrs at the Dak Lak Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery; visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Toan, 93 years old, residing in Tan Lap ward, and seriously wounded and sick soldiers; relatives of martyrs' families; and policy beneficiaries in the area.
On behalf of the leaders of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang affirmed: The Party, State and Army always remember the merits of heroes, martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, meritorious people, policy beneficiaries, those who have devoted their youth and blood so that the country can blossom with independence and bear fruit of freedom.
At the meeting, Dak Lak Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung said that in recent years, along with economic and social development, the province has always focused on organizing the full and timely implementation of policies for policy beneficiaries, taking care of the lives of people with revolutionary contributions and social beneficiaries in the area, especially during holidays and Tet.
After the reorganization, Dak Lak province (new) has more than 100,000 meritorious people. As of July 1, 2025, the whole province has been paying regular allowances to 18,310 people, with a payment amount of more than 53.4 billion VND/month.
The province is determined to complete the entire program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area before August 15, 2025, including houses of people with revolutionary contributions to be handed over before July 20, 2025.
The province has organized many activities to show gratitude on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27, in which gifts from the President of the province were sent to families with meritorious services to the revolution before June 20, 2025, at the request of the Ministry of Home Affairs...
Speaking at the meeting, General Phan Van Giang acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results and achievements of the local Party Committee and government in leading and directing the successful implementation of the targets and tasks set out in the first 6 months of the year, especially in promoting the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties, proactively doing well the work of preparing for merger, implementing two-level local government and taking care of the lives of policy families and people with revolutionary contributions in the area.
Minister Phan Van Giang requested local Party committees and authorities to continue to pay attention and take good care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, people with meritorious services, and relatives of martyrs; and to properly implement policies for the Army and the Army's rear, so that officers and soldiers of the armed forces can always work with peace of mind and successfully complete their assigned tasks.
Visiting and working with the Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police and Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, General Phan Van Giang requested agencies and units to actively promote the sense of responsibility, proactively coordinate to grasp the area, maintain political security, social order and safety; strictly maintain the regime of combat duty, duty, command duty, always be vigilant, ready to fight, not to be passive or surprised in any situation; focus on leading and directing to improve the quality of training and drills, build a regular routine, and abide by discipline; be close to the people, stick with the people, proactively reach out to the people; be ready with plans to prevent and combat natural disasters, rescue and search and rescue, minimize damage to people and property when natural disasters and floods occur; actively coordinate with forces to take care of building a national defense posture, associated with the people's security posture, the people's border defense posture and the increasingly solid people's hearts posture.
Sharing the difficulties of the armed forces of Dak Lak province after the merger, General Phan Van Giang requested the competent agencies of the Ministry of National Defense to urgently equip the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command with additional means and materials to serve training and combat readiness; and to present eight infertile soldiers with 50 million VND each.
Towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, General Phan Van Giang said that the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense will donate and support Dak Lak province with 150 billion VND to build a primary and secondary boarding school for children in the border area. He requested local Party committees and authorities to direct functional agencies to conduct surveys, select locations, design, and construct as soon as possible so that the school can be put into operation from the 2026-2027 school year.
During the visit and gift-giving ceremony on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day in Dak Lak province, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense and the Central delegation visited and presented gifts to 5 families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services to the revolution; visited and presented gifts to the Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police, Provincial Border Guard Command, Provincial Veterans Association, K51 Collection Team under the Provincial Military Command and 50 families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services to the revolution... with a total amount of 157 million VND.
