Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Provincial Police, said: The main causes of fires and explosions in businesses are electrical system failures and negligence when using heat sources for production and business purposes. When there is a fire source combined with flammable materials, the fire spreads very quickly, causing great damage to property and directly affecting businesses and workers.

To prevent this problem, businesses need to have a safe electrical system; regularly check, repair, and upgrade equipment to meet the needs of use during production activities; focus on training, propaganda, and establish a firefighting team to promptly handle any unfortunate incidents.

In the coming time, the police force will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to tighten state management of fire prevention and fighting. Strengthen inspection, examination, resolutely handle and suspend operations of facilities that do not meet fire safety conditions.

The inspection process will be combined with propaganda and guidance for facility owners and workers to raise awareness in complying with fire prevention and fighting regulations; not to be subjective or negligent in any situation.

On the part of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, when enterprises come into operation, they all direct and require the establishment of specialized fire prevention and fighting teams; ensure infrastructure design, installation of water supply systems, effectively serving fire prevention and fighting work. Every year, regularly review and urge enterprises to purchase on-site fire fighting equipment; promptly supplement and repair when damaged.
