Ensuring stable operation of the Mau Son power grid in freezing weather

– In recent days, the temperature in Lang Son province has dropped sharply, especially in Mau Son commune, Loc Binh district, where the temperature has dropped sharply. Specifically, on January 23 and 24, the temperature in Mau Son area was -1.1 degrees Celsius.

Through monitoring the weather situation with ice, to ensure safe and continuous power supply to serve electricity needs, on January 23 and 24, 2024, Lang Son Power Company directed Loc Binh Power Company to increase human resources, ensure materials, tools, and equipment on duty, take turns to inspect the power grid, through inspection, detect thick ice on the lines, promptly handle to avoid risks that may cause power grid incidents; increase human resources, arrange staff on duty 24/24 hours in Mau Son area to promptly repair and overcome electrical incidents caused by ice and snow, thereby ensuring safe and continuous operation of the power grid in the management area.

It is known that Loc Binh Electricity is currently managing nearly 15km of medium voltage lines, 7 transformer stations with nearly 400 customers using electricity in Mau Son commune. Of which, nearly 100 customers are mainly households providing food and accommodation services to welcome tourists from all over the world. When the temperature drops to -1.1 degrees Celsius, ensuring stable, safe and continuous power supply for Mau Son commune is very important.

Faced with the continuing complicated weather situation, the Northern Power Corporation has also directed Lang Son Power Company to proactively deploy plans, regularly respond, and promptly handle electrical incidents in areas where frost may occur.
