The wild beauty of Ca Mau "sea lake"
Located in Ca Mau province, Thi Tuong lagoon is the largest natural lagoon in the Mekong Delta, considered a "lake in the heart of the delta". With a water surface area of about 700 hectares, this place possesses a vast, peaceful river scene and is typical of the southernmost land of the Fatherland.

The unique highlight of Thi Tuong Lagoon is the simple huts built by the people on the water for farming and living. These "lonely houses" create a picture that is both realistic about life and romantic, evoking a feeling of separation from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Simple life on the lagoon
The lives of the people here are closely linked to the water. They earn their living mainly by farming and fishing. This lagoon area has been blessed with many aquatic and seafood species of high economic value. Visitors coming here have the opportunity to observe the authentic life of fishermen and feel the harmony between humans and nature.

An experience not to be missed
Exploring Thi Tuong Lagoon offers unique experiences. Visitors can rent a motorboat or sampan to navigate the canals, visit the huts to learn about the lives of the people. This is also an opportunity to enjoy fresh specialties made from seafood caught right in the lagoon.

The future of sustainable ecotourism
According to information from the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the general planning project of Dam Thi Tuong Eco-tourism Area has been approved with an area of 1,985 hectares, including the communes of Song Doc, Tran Van Thoi, Hung My and Phu My. This planning aims to exploit the typical tourism of the Southern river region in a sustainable manner, on the basis of biodiversity conservation and aquatic resource restoration.
Mr. Bui Van Thang, a resident of Hung My commune, shared his excitement about this policy, hoping that the project will not only improve people's income but also contribute to regenerating the lagoon's ecosystem. This promises to turn Thi Tuong Lagoon into an attractive destination, harmoniously combining economic development and environmental protection.
