On June 27, the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Airlines concert program (Vietnam Airlines Classic-Hanoi Concert-VACC 2024) announced that the Russian National Orchestra (RNO) will perform at the Hoan Kiem Theater, Hanoi on October 12-13.
The program is organized by Vietnam Airlines in coordination with Hanoi People's Committee and Thanh Viet Production, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
At a press conference on June 27, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines Corporation Dang Anh Tuan said that after many years of absence, the concert program will return in 2024, bringing the capital audience impressive performances over two nights.
On the night of October 12, the Russian National Symphony Orchestra will perform the Vietnamese National Anthem and other classical music under the baton of conductor César Álvarez (Spain), with the participation of piano soloist Eva Gevorgyan (Russia-Armenia). The second night on October 13 will feature ballet excerpts performed by principal dancers from the Bolshoi Theatre.
According to musician Quoc Trung, the program's general director, this year, the Vietnam Airlines concert returns to the capital's audience. The biggest difference is that instead of being held outdoors as before, the two shows will take place at the Ho Guom Theater.
This is the theater honored by the World Travel Awards (WTA) as one of the top 10 best opera houses in the world.

Sharing at the press conference, conductor César Álvarez said that since its establishment, every time the Russian National Symphony performs, it has brought surprises to the audience.

The Russian National Symphony Orchestra was founded in Moscow in 1990 by conductor Mikhail Pletnev. Over the past 30 years, the orchestra has achieved international fame and public recognition, becoming the embodiment of Russian musical traditions.
In 2004, the Russian National Symphony Orchestra became the first orchestra in the history of Russian symphony orchestras to receive a Grammy Award. The most prestigious music magazine in Europe - Gramophone - ranked the orchestra among the 20 best orchestras in the world.
Conductor César Álvarez (1973) is one of the most respected conductors today. He studied orchestral conducting in Madrid (Spain), then moved to Russia and studied Symphony and Opera Conducting at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
In addition to his regular work with the Russian National Orchestra and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, he has worked with many famous international symphony orchestras around the world.
Held regularly since 2017, the Vietnam Airlines program is the first outdoor classical concert in Vietnam, with the participation of the London Symphony Orchestra - a world-famous international symphony orchestra.
This is a major cultural event within the economic, cultural and social development cooperation agreement between Vietnam Airlines and Hanoi City to promote the promotion of the capital's tourism image./.
