The compact orchestra of only 14 members, mainly string artists, plus soloist Théo Imart of the concert was enough to satisfy the audience for more than an hour immersed in music .
Tickets for the concert cost up to 3 - 5 million VND, but nearly 1,000 seats in the large concert hall of Ho Guom Theater were filled.
The audience was particularly impressed with the dynamic performance of conductor Stefan Plewniak.
With the violin on his shoulder, he performed energetically and lively on stage.
He also impressed Hanoi audiences with his elegant outfit that resembled the Vietnamese ao dai.
The conductor led the orchestra to weave a vivid picture of nature in the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter with the harmonious sounds of The Four Seasons (author: great composer Antonio Vivaldi).
The orchestra also performed an overture from the opera-ballet Indes Galantes by composer Jean Philippe Rameau.
Young soloist Théo Imart with his contre-tenor voice (a male voice but high and clear like a woman) delighted the audience.
