The conference was held with a main venue at the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos and three other venues at the Vietnamese Consulates General in Luang Prabang, Savannakhet, and Pakxe.
Attending the conference via video link were members of the Party Committee in Laos, officials and Party members at the Embassy and Consulates General, members of the Party Committees of affiliated branches, and representatives of agencies alongside the Embassy.
The learning atmosphere was serious and focused. Cadres and Party members listened attentively as leaders delivered presentations on 10 important topics, including the new and core points of the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, summarizing 40 years of experience in Renovation, summarizing Party building work and the implementation of the Party Charter, evaluating the 5-year implementation of the socio -economic development strategy for the period 2021-2030 and plans for the next 5 years, new thinking and understanding on national defense and security, promoting the strength of national unity, reforming inspection and supervision work, summarizing 100 years of the Party's leadership of the Vietnamese revolution (1930-2030) and orientations for the next 100 years.
Delivering a keynote address at the conference, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the 14th National Congress had been very successful, opening a new stage of national development with a long-term vision, clear goals, and high political determination from the entire Party, people, and army.
To transform the spirit and scope of the Resolution of the 14th National Congress into a unified action program that meets the increasingly high demands of the country's development process in the new period, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the need for unifying and decisive thinking throughout, shifting strongly from words to actions, from awareness to action. Each Party committee, each Party organization, each cadre and Party member, especially the leaders, must uphold a high sense of responsibility and set a leading example in turning policy decisions into reality, transforming goals into concrete, measurable results that the people directly benefit from.
The General Secretary clearly stated that narrowing the gap between resolutions and tangible results is a measure of the Party's leadership and governance, and also a standard by which history will evaluate today's generation of cadres and Party members through the development achievements the country will attain, the practical values the people will enjoy, and the people's trust and affection for the Party.
Following the directives of General Secretary To Lam, the Party Committee in Laos affirmed that it will promptly implement the Resolution among cadres and Party members in the area, contributing to consolidating trust and creating consensus in achieving national development goals in the new era. The Party Committee in Laos will concretize the Resolution of the 14th National Congress into an action program closely aligned with the practical tasks in the area and clearly define the determination of each cadre and Party member in Laos to be a pioneering and exemplary "fighter," transforming the Party's decisions into concrete actions and achievements, contributing to building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, and nurturing the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic linkage between Vietnam and Laos, ensuring its everlasting and enduring nature.
