Construction of the remaining part of Nguyen Van Linh bridge connecting Phu Loi ward with Soc Trang ward is underway.

(CT) - Previously, reporters from Can Tho Newspaper, Radio and Television reported that Nguyen Van Linh Bridge across Maspero River, connecting Phu Loi Ward with Soc Trang Ward (Can Tho City), still has a branch that has not been built, affecting people's travel and urban beauty.

The investment project to complete the Nguyen Van Linh bridge is under construction.

After the feedback, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works of Can Tho City has promoted the bidding procedures and implemented the construction of the remaining part of Nguyen Van Linh Bridge. According to the leaders of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works of the City, the remaining part of the project has a new name: Investment Project for Completion of Nguyen Van Linh Bridge, invested by the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works of the City, with a total approved budget of more than 5 billion VND. Currently, the project has started and is under construction, expected to be completed by December 31, 2025.

Maspéro River passes through 2 wards: Phu Loi and Soc Trang , previously there were 4 bridges crossing, including Den Bridge (National Highway 1), Kinh Xang Bridge (National Highway 1), Cao Bridge and Quay Bridge. Later, there were Maspéro Bridge, Ring Road 2 Bridge, Mac Dinh Chi Bridge and in the near future, the completion of Nguyen Van Linh Bridge will contribute to expanding the space for socio-economic development for neighboring localities.
